Usually, when someone says AK-74 pattern, all they mean is they want one chambered in 5.45x39mm.

No. They do not ship to California. That is why you have to go through guys who aren't afraid like Cold War Shooters since they are out of Texas.

I am sure you will answer yes, since the one in the picture appears to be a standard steel mag, but will it take standard AKM/AK steel magazines? I just want to be sure this isn't relegated to polymer mags only, and isn't something like the Clinton era Saiga mags. Is it?

I think I may need to get one of these and one of the "green" AESs !!

It would seem that any AK with a standard pistol grip as is shown would accept the MM grip.

Is this STG-2000 a Hesse (aka Vulcan) creation? I'm hearing people say Vulcan put these together. If not Vulcan who made 'em?

I've heard the receiver is just like a WASR. Have not heard the story about the Vulcan yet but maybe some one can chime in ?

No: I saw it when CWS posted the STG-2000c in its own thread, and it was $425.00 . The WASR-10 is/was $399 with its thread, and the moderators compiled most all of CWS's posts together, which jumbled things a bit, and somewhat messed up the definitive separation between items CWS was selling. Therefore, the first post in the STG-2000c thread became the first post for the WASR thread, but titled ( STG-2003 7.62x39 425.99 ). The WASR thread got associated with the thread for this STG-2000c.

But the WASR's are $399, the AES is $449, and this STG-2000c was $425 .

Quick Question: How is it California legal if it has a detachable mag AND a threaded barrel & Bayonet lug? Are we sure they're OK?
