Default AA conversion kits

I was thinking of getting a AA conversion kit for my g19(gen4) or g26(gen3)... what do you guys think of the kits? Reliable? Fun?

Get the right kit.

Standard kit only works with Gen 1-3.
Gen 4 kit only works with Gen 4.
None of the kits work with Gen 5.

Yes get them both. I have one for my Glock 26, Glock 19, one for my Beretta 92, and one for my 1911's.

I have never had a problem with any .22LR kit from AA, Beretta or Kimber.

I enjoy shooting for a lot less

They are great for teaching new shooters. Never had a problem with them either, that's why I sold my M&P 22

I use them on my XD9, which I just gifted to my daughter and son-in-law.
I also have one currently mounted on my RIA Tactical. Got the one with adjustable sights.
I've had no issues with either of them.

The AA kit for my G17 has performed flawlessly. The only minor gripe is the aluminum slide is really lightweight, it weighs far less than the OE slide so it handles quite differently. Maybe they could have made the barrel a larger diameter to better simulate a G17's weight?

I have the 17 kit, it functions well and oddly enough, likes Remington Golden Bullet ammo.

Had one for my G17 Gen 3. Worked flawlessly with all kinds of ammo. But didn't like the feel of shooting it. Plastic frame, light weight slide...then switching to the OEM heavy 9mm slide felt incongruent. I much prefer a dedicated 22LR target pistol.

Are the AA kits generally reliable?

The Beretta Kit is NOT from Advantage Arms, it was a Beretta Kit for the 92/96 model.

I love them. Because the slide it light and the Glock frame is feather light it makes for a sweet handling little .22 IMHO. A blast to shoot. Yeah they are not the same as the heavy Glock slide, but close enough for me. Having the same trigger is great and HUGE plus IMHO. Mine doesn't like A LOT of ammo. Likes Golden Bullets and CCI Mini's. One of the most fun .22 practice guns to shoot IMHO... like shooting it 10x more than my P22.

Hey OP...In answer to your question...yes very reliable..the gen 1-3 version I've got recommends only CCI 40 gr mini-mags and is rock solid reliable..sorry it took months to get anyone to answer.

I have the AA kit for a G17. It's picky but I like it. The mags are finicky but I like it. So it's not perfect but I like it.

Well worth getting it, can't go wrong! Very accurate, I really enjoyed shooting it on my gen 3 Glock 19 - I personally like and use only CCI 40 grain and Mini mag 36 grain, not a single problem. Can't beat them.

I have one for a gen 4 17/22. It’s accurate and fires cci mini-mag 40gr ammo flawlessly. I’ve had mine for 2 years now and have probably shot almost 1000 rounds through it. I’ve heard that once it’s “broken in” you can get away with shooting federal bulk and Golden bullets but mine will still ftf/fte one out of every ten rounds so I just stick with the mini-mags for now.
