HK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.

Shooting low means you were not using the sights correctly.
Properly designed paddle style releases (such as those on the VP9) are superior to push button releases. They are ambidextrous and can be pushed with your trigger finger without changing the grip on the gun, unlike most button releases. Button releases where you don't have to change your grip are prone to accidental pressing, and some can be triggered while drawing or holstering. As much as I like my more expensive guns with button releases, I still think paddle style release systems are better, but they do require some getting used to.

I also rented and shot a VP9 the other day and I was impressed with the accuracy and minimum recoil for a plastic gun. Easy 2"groups all day long from 7.5-10 yards. I also shoot it better then my Sigs, except for my Cadillac X5, but I still consider my self a new shooter. Can't compare to a Glock or PPQ. And then I shot a CZ75B and it was even more accurate and really wowed me. The fact that the VP9 sells for more then several different CZ models is just plain wrong.

This coming from a guy who would reconsider buying a VP9 again after seeing what a $400 Graygun trigger package can do to it (not much). I'm a fan of GGs work but even I think it's ludicrous cnsidering the difference to be marginal vs the already awesome stock trigger.

Well if $400 only buys you a slightly smoother trigger that is only gets lighter by 25% or so after some spring changes, perhaps that is a sign that you might want to get a different platform.

Sounds like the real problem with a lot of these HK / VP9 haters is that they need more money. Stop shooting those cheap Glocks and XD's all the time and go out and "get better jobs" or if you are incapable of that, work some overtime or a second job and MAKE SOME REAL MONEY so that buying sub $1000 guns isn't harder than it should be!

I dislike the vp9 but it is a shooter. I get better groups than the attached with a vp9 at 10 yards normally (attached shot with a sig p225 and shield). If OP cannot group at 7 yards, then OP cannot shoot.

That is the sign that the VP9 stock trigger is almost perfect that it doesn't need a trigger job

I wonder if Glock fanbois are going to whine about a $1000 Glock gen 4 in the marketplace

It is awesome that the newer tupperware models, PPQ, TP9 SA, and VP9, have decent triggers out of the box (something Springfield and Smith and Wesson should have done).

I paid full SSE price for my practical tactical glocks but I don't plan on needing to ever sell them. Plus I have this pesky mountain of standard cap glock mags.

Your advice to gun owners is to stop shooting so much?

I bought a VP9, it shot dead on just like any other HK but it didn't feel as good to me as my P320 so I sold it to a friend and bought a second P320. Both are just as accurate, I just liked one better. Plus, I can still shoot the VP9 whenever I want.

^^^ Well Played Sir! ^^^

Well it's a new week so I guess we need a new "I shot a VP9 and hate it thread" which will inevitably will turn into a "my Glock does everything the HK does at 1/2 the price" which in turn will turn into a "I shoot Elephants with a rifle thread" at some point.

Guys here is a little piece of advice and I mean no disrespect . . . We VP9 Owners don't care! Seriously we don't care!

I own two VP9s which are now my favorite gun. Are they better than a Glock? No! Do they cost more? Yes! Are they better than an XD or SIG or CZ or "enter your gun here"? No!

But here is the thing for me. The VP9 fits my Girlish small hand PERFECTLY. Way better than Glock and much better than my XD9s which is why I like the VP and it now resides at my bedside replacing my XD9 Tactical as my go to gun.

Saying the trigger is better or worse than other triggers is irrelevant to me. The trigger works perfectly for me.

So shoot your Glocks, shoot your SIGs, shoot your XD9s, heck shoot what makes you happy. But those that claim the VP9 is not a good shooter are seriously fooling themselves. You can claim and rightfully so, the VP9 is over priced, and for that you will get no argument. But to claim the trigger is bad or it doesn't shoot well, is just not true. Dozen's of reviews will say otherwise.

I just put a $300 h&k sticker on my glock 19 and WOW!!! It's more accurate, better trigger, better grip, balances nicely in my hand and can shoot nickels at 100 yards all day long. Don't know why I waited this long to get an h&k.
Yes I'm kidding, the sticker was only $2

I love it. If you spend $400 more dollars the trigger is just as good as a PPQ.

Different strokes for different folks. Same reason everyone drives a different car. Some like trucks some like small cars other like fast cars. I have a VP9 only shot it twice and love it! If it ain't for you it ain't for you no need to bash it

Wrong again, stock or modded, VP9 has a shorter break, you're welcome to keep ignoring the facts, I know it helps you sleep better at night.

It does not make you less of a fanboy. If you think the stock trigger is awesome then you have not shot nearly enough guns. You keep talking about how great the VP9 is while everybody just sees how inexperienced you are.

Well... You went back to SiG which is were I would / do go as well. I'm sorry that I didn't pick up a P320 myself. My go to SiG's are the P226 for training and a P228 on my CCW.

I have a P225... NIB so its a safe queen. I have a 9/80 mfg P6 that I had sig install a P225 mainspring and barrel. It s great IDPA concealment gun.

One of my CCW's Is limited to three guns;

P228
Colt Combat Commander
HK VP9

Well for those who were unable to load up on std. capacity mags before the ban ( I did), P225/P6 is a very competent combat handgun that carries very small and is just 2 rounds shy of the state mandated 11 (10+1). I'm not sure the difference between 9 and 11 is significant enough if you are well trained. If I had no legal std. capacity mags I would most likely carry the P225 instead of a P228 with ten rounds.....

No . . . if we drive trucks we must convince all the car owners to sell their cars and buy trucks! I mean why are they driving cars, when the truck does everything the car does and is cheaper.

Won't happen. I still haven't seen the "flood" of Vp9's bought on spec hot the classifieds a MSRP pricing...

All I have noticed is the asking prices of most everything off roster is heading Up UP...

I wonder if this thread is designed to drive the price of the vp9's down.
That WOULD be funny . . . I hadn't thought of that.

What say you .45 and JackRyden? Are you guys secret VP9 Fanboys in the wings trying to bring down the pricing so you too can own the Bestest Made, Bestest Shooting Hangun, from the bestest manufacturer of ALL time!

Yes they do, they deliver bans to people who forget how to be civil.

Bashing vp9 over PPQ for PPQ's better trigger pull is like preaching tighter pus*y being the only criterion to marry a girl.
Tighter is important for fun. But if it comes down to the situation that I can only pick one of the two, vp9 it is no brainer.

The vp9 just didn't feel as good in hand as my ppq m2(I know the grips can be changed) and the paddle mag release just seemed unorthodox.

The trigger on the ppq is definitely better and muzzle flip between the two is negotiable.

The vp9 shot low for me and I couldn't put a decent group together @ 7 yards.

Maybe it would grow on me, but it doesn't seem worth $850 to find out.

That is all...

You know you are my homie.

That being said whenever HK releases the VP45 or P30sk, I'll definitely think about picking one up. Heck even a VP9sk though I think the P30sk is more "confirmed".
