Greetings and salutations! I am in Tehama county. I want to get my CCW to safely hike again and I live the boonies so a lot of highway travel to work as well. I look forward to interacting with you all.

My first day here today, very informative already reading a thread. Just concerned on selling here which is my main reason for signing up, I know this is not the right forum but I just wanna find out if this is a legit place to sell some of my pistols. Thanks if somebody replies to it.

This is a much better place than consignment if the price is fair.

Go to the Marketplace section and check it out.

Decide your price, this is not an auction site.
Location also required.
Pics and a good description of condition are helpful.

Read the Rules in the stickies.

Good luck

Ps: welcome

Go to a range that charges one price to rent all their guns, not one price for each gun rented.

You MIGHT even like a Glock.

If you ever feel bad about not buying the other gun, the rule here is that you go back and buy it so you have both!
Sry for the late response.

Actually i have and that didn't help much other than making me want all of them. Anyone else feel this way? LOL

so i ended up getting both. felt like a big ol chick!!!

Everything that Garv said, except for that part about the Glock; don't listen to that nonsense. You've got better taste already. Go rent those guns and find what you're comfortable with and can shoot well. (Even if it is a Glock)
LOL this made me spit food out while reading. HAhahAHaHAHA thanks for the welcome!

Cool! Post them in the "Centerfire Rifles" sub-forum when you're all done and smiling from ear to ear.

Hello!

I'm getting back into owning and using guns after a long while without any. I've been doing some buying; I'm awaiting DROS on a handgun, rifle, shotgun at the moment.

I'm giving serious thought to doing becoming a gunsmith (I'm a Mechanical Engineer, with some machinist skills) so I'm currently researching the possibility of opening a home-based shop.

Welcome The Good.

With a Clint Eastwood avatar I have to ask: Who is the Bad and who is the Ugly?

Maybe you can name your new stuff.

Ha, hadn't thought about 'who' they are; I just figure that everyone here who's on the side of the 2A would be considered "The Good"! "The Bad" would be those who aren't or those who use guns for crime; and "The Ugly" would be those who want to eliminate 2A rights all-together and/or "The Crazies" who want to impose their socialist rules on The Free/Good folks.

Inbound are the following:

S&W .38 (SW) revolver circa 1940
Remington 11-87 Sporting Clays (parkerized/engraved reciever)
Benelli R1 .300 Win/Mag Walnut Stock

Thanks Guys! DROS 10-day on the .38 S&W is Wednesday, the R1 and 11-87 are next Saturday. I bought the R1 & 11-87 on GB ~2 weeks ago, one more week for them to pick-up. Needless to say, my trigger finger is itchy!!

Default hello!

hi, all! new member John C. here. visiting family out of state and found an amazing rifle that I could use some help from some of you more educated AK veterans. I'll try to include a pic if the site will allow me, but what I'm looking at is this:
Apparently NIB (no markings from the safety and doesn't appear to have been fired) ak47 in 7.62 Lside marked SSR-85C-2 armory usa, Houston , tx Rside marked ISD made in Bulgaria. chrome lined barrel, slant brake(threaded) blonde wood, no scope rail. At close inspection, this rifle is flawless. fit and finish are tight and pin dimples look carefully well done. action is like silk and sights are straight and true. the receiver is stamped and 1.6ml thick. it is my understanding that for a short time (before selling out to TGI) AUSA produced some of the finest AK's in the US (this has to be one). this production run was short and not many were made. any help on putting a value on this would be a great help, I would like to own it!! research on AUSA/Global trades gets fuzzy@ 2006-2008 help please!

Aloha and Hi CalGuns' Folks,

Though a California native, I've been living on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian island chain for the past 35 years. A Hawaii NRA member and gun owner, I have been an electric string instrument tech and builder, digital recording engineer and professional chef for 40 years. Now semi-retired I build custom pellet guns and computers as a hobby. I'll be starting all over again here in California with regards to gun ownership so I really appreciate an informative forum of this caliber and look forward to learning and sharing from and with all of you.
