Default 1 per 30 day exemption with COE & C&R

I left a post about this and had a great number of messages asking for more information. I'll try to be concise and brief.

State law says that if you have a Federal Curio & Relic license and a California Certificate of Eligibility that you are exempt from the one handgun DROS per thirty days. Comrade Kamala Harris, when AJ, refused to honor the law and said that it only applied to the purchase of C&R firearms. She defied the actual language of the statute. The current AJ, while no friend of gun owners, has exhibited the integrity to return to following the law. Good for him. I have personally been able to conduct three or four multiple purchases of dealer handguns, under the exemption, in the last couple of months.

Your FFL may be too chicken to process the DROS and FFL's are so often 100% convinced that they are correct about any number of things related to firearms purchasing that simply are not true. They are not doing anything wrong in processing the DROS, with the exemption. If there is a problem, the DOJ has the ten days to deny the release of the firearms.

Provide them with a copy of your C&R FFL and your COE. They put the number into the field for exemptions. Ten days later you should be able to take delivery of your purchases.

This is a proper legal exemption, not a loophole. Keep good records and follow the law. Do everything above board and enjoy what relics of the second amendment still remain in the People's Republic of California. Be honest and expect elected officials to follow the law.

KEEP INFORMED of pending legislation attacking the second amendment and write to your Senators and Assemblymen, in Sacramento. They pay attention to letters. Tell them that if they take away your rights you will work for and make contributions to their opponents in the next election. Be polite, but emphatic.

Demand the protection of your second amendment rights as fervently as your first and fourth amendment rights.

Yup, here's a good resource:

There are several categories of persons/entities exempt from the new requirement, listed in
PC Section 12072, including:

<snip>

Any person who is a licensed collector pursuant to Chapter 44 of Title 18 of the United
States Code and who has a current certificate of eligibility issued to him or her by the
Department of Justice pursuant to PC 12071 (curio and relic firearms only).
