Steele peak cleanup
Hey everyone I'm just a junior member so if administration can help me get this ball rolling I would appreciate it. I'm trying to get a group cleanup going. Just seeing who is interested and what day works best for everyone. I was thinking Saturday March 11th so it gives us a month to plan and organize. Let me know what you guys think?

I did a clean up there with a off-roading page about a year ago.
We filled up three massive 40 yard dumpsters worth of crap. I went back about 3-4 weeks later and the place was a absolute wreck. People take BLM for granted and trash them, then proceed to *****, gripe, complain when they close. Self inflicted

The place is already closed to shooting. The least we can do is clean it up to leave it the way it was when the BLM first handed it over to us to shoot on their property. I'll volunteer for a organized Calguns clean up. I hope it's the biggest one ever at Steel Peak.

OP, I admire your incentive, but be please be advised there is a forum involving different range clean ups and a sticky specifically devoted to Steele Peak. Rather than begin yet another SP clean up thread, I would please request that you check that sticky to ascertain when the next clean up is.
Now, I don't say this to mean you shouldn't get together with some other members to meet for a clean up as I am not saying that. By all means do that and I personally thank you for wanting to do it. As far as an "official" CGSSA (Calguns Shooting Sports Assoc., which runs the gun shows, clean ups, Calguns shooting events, etc.) SP clean up, that is organized by Eat Dirt in that sticky thread. Thank you. |
