Default Machine 80% in SD

I'm coming to San Diego on leave from December 21 until January 5 and would like to get an 80% receiver machined. Does anybody know where I could do this? I don't have the machining equipment to do it.
Thanks guys!

You definitely want to give them a call before you drive up to oceanside to make sure they are doing the BP and that they have 80%s in stock. They only do Tactical Machining 80's so if you already have one you are good to go, but you might want to try to buy a couple now if you find them in stock.

Yeah. I'll be going to east county, so it's a long drive. I don't have any 80s yet. I was planning on just buying at least one just to have it whenever I can get it machined. But I also heard I could use their machinery, so I might do it when I come down for leave in December.

Contact Jimi. He'll help you, he's off miramar rd. People have had concern with the way they run their party's.

ares runs it perfect. you show up at their shop, when everyone is there, you get directions to the machine shop.

you get in line, you put your lower on the machine, you click the green button, 10 minutes later you take it out, put it on the 2nd jig and press the green button again. 5 minutes later its done.

the guy dunks it, reams a couple a holes. and your good to go. the guys are beyond nice and the process is beyond easy.

Is there a waiting list? Or do I just call them for a reservation?

Best thing to do is call them or drive up and talk to them. Their site doesn't say anything about a list, but you definitely want to call because sometimes they cancel BP's.

call and ask if there is a build party going on and if they have lowers for sale. i went when the foundry was shut down, so only about 15 people showed up. one of the guys was there for a 2nd time, and said that he went once and 50 people were there to build.

Haha it is times like those when you have to ask if it is really worth the trouble to have an "unregistered/untraceable" weapon. I think I am done with the 80% crap. It is easier and cheaper to buy a stripped lower from a gun store. I am just going to start buying a stripped lower with every pistol purchase just to save on the DROs and wait time.
