Default SoCal and NorCal should have it's own thread for gun sales...

Private sales in SoCal and NorCal should have it's own seperate thread for gun sales...

Kinda frustrating scrolling down and finding a gun you like and want to buy and it's in SoCal lol...

You don’t need a separate section, you just need everyone to put “Nor Cal”or “So Cal” in the title. Many do but not everyone does.

Agreed. But this has been discussed before, and got very little support.

Very good idea, separate NorCal and SoCal sections.

If you could choose area codes that would be good.

Nope!

If rules were followed there would be no problem!

I say the Moderators should delete every thread that does not display the location in the title without warning.

People should also add "SPF or SOLD" to the title once it's been sold. I hate reading a sales thread only to find out after 2 pages of "BUMP or TTT" that its been sold.

So what's the arbitrary dividing line between North and South? What if you live within 30-60 minutes of that line....do you POST in both sections? Do you still READ both sections?

As mentioned, all that's needed is a location in the thread title.

Personally, I don't mind checking all the threads with guns I might like....no big deal.

What I really like to see in marketplace is to further separate firearms type, revolve / pistol / shotgun / rifle.

I agree with this post. Where would you divide the state? It happens to me a lot where I find something I want and then realize it's six hours away... But that's part of the fun of the search... Right?

This exactly! Just like CA laws, the laws on the book just need to be enforced!

All this discussion would be a moot point if folks would enter their location in their userCP data. I don't know why so many folks are so paranoid about giving that info out.

Some California gun owners are paranoid? Can't imagine why.

what we need is a $400 and lower room and a $400 and above room.

Not sure why we are spam to see people with out of control price threads.

its frowned upon in calgus.net if you try to help a buyer out with these rippoff prices.

The way to accomplish this is with a form, with required fields, and a pull down menu with all the cities listed. The classified posting process is Sooooo antiquated.

Me neither.... Do folks think that by hiding their info on Calguns that they're somehow hiding the fact that they own guns, and the government isn't gonna get them?? Believe me the Gov knows even if they don't have a damn thing to do with Calguns... Going incognito isn't going to help a bit... Even in this thread there are posters who think they're invisible.... NOR-CAL and zip, or SO-CAL and zip would make life a lot easier. I see posts that say they're in the Bay Area. Doesn't help a whole lot... Which Bay??? Cal has three of them... Or Inland Empire... That covers a lot of territory... IMHO

With traffic these days, some part of the SF Bay Area might as well be on Monterey Bay. Or LA's South Bay.

Even better, list the nearest major city. I have checked out some that say "east bay" only to discover their east bay was in So Cal.

This is what I would like to see as well. However, its been discussed and the admins opted to have handguns and long guns separate. Before it used to be all firearms in one sell section.

I think that would have to go through a dealer with a background check after December 31.

I think we should further subdivide between sales from those who vote Feinstein/Pelosi/Boxer/Barbara Lee and other bigoted Trump haters and those who fully support 2A.

I don't want to help someone be a hypocrite in buying firearms from the former and increasing their wealth when they should be donating them to the local man hole cover factory when they come into a stash of firearms (inheritance?).

I think we need to separate it by all 58 counties in alphabetical order. Then in each county there should be sub forums for each city in the county regardless of its population. Then each city should be separated into separate sections for revolvers, semi-autos pistols, c&r pistols, c&r long guns, long guns, evil black rifles, shotguns, derringers, and of course break top single shot pistols. This should solve all the problems in the marketplace.

I think sellers should register.

The system could then populate every sale with the seller's registration information, taking all the guess work out of it.

It would be transparent to the sellers, as it would be automatic, and the buyers would be able to instantly know where to find the guns.

Oh, wait.
