Shows the Springfield XD gear up promotion as still in effect. I thought that ended for handguns.

Couple of quick questions:
1. Anybody ever been to one of these grand openings?
2. Do people start lining up early at the doors before opening?
3. If so, how early?
4 Do they put handguns on layaway/hold if you pay in full? I'm in 30 day limbo right now so I'm screwed if they don't...

I have not been to one of these days, but you do not have to DROS the same day. You do have to pay in full I believe.

People do start lining up the night before. Since this is the first one in your area, who knows how it will go.

Seriously, I'm 350 miles away. My only hope is that my home town gets big enough to need a Turners, the sale is good, and I'm still in CA.

Yea, I called them and they'll hold the gun for up to 30 days if you pay in full and then you can do the DRO anytime within that 30 days.
Jeez, lining up the night before sounds a bit too much. I was thinking of getting there around 6:00am to get the Springfield 1911 Stainless. Being as I'd be travelling a bit to do this I'm not so sure now because I'm sure as **** not camping out all night. Decisions, decisions...

1. I just went to the last one they had in Palmdale a couple of weeks ago.
2. Yes
3. People started lining up the night before. I heard from a salesman that a guy was there at 5 pm in line the day before. Most people start lining up early the day of the opening.
4. You must pay in full for all guns/rifles. No layaway for items on sale. If you pay in full they will hold it for at least 30 days. I have paid in full before and Turners held my gun for 4 months before. I had purchase two guns and then a black Friday deal came up and I got two more so It took me a long time to DROS them all.

I got there at 6:30 am, there was a line the length of two stores. They only gun that was sold out when it came to my turn was the Kimber. The Kimber was sold out after the first 20 people. It wouldn't have made much of a difference if I had shown up at 5:30am. I had my pick of everything else on the flyer. Also, not many people were interested in any of the great deals on the bolt action rifles those were still available at 10:00 am when I left. At that time there was no line and you could just walk in get what you want and a short line at the register.

So tempted to go early in the morning from the east bay. Wouldnít mind having that Kimber, 10/22 or even those Ruger bolt actions. I donít mind being in line for two hours but think most of the good stuff would be good.

Any chance the Rami will still be available at 10 am? I'm thinking of visiting a client who's been asking for me to come down for a while, but I'm not gonna stand in line the night before.

10:00am seems a little late for a low priced handguns those go pretty quickly. But I think 9am might do it. At that time there shouldn't be a line. All of the early birds got their ticket and left.

Tomorrow's my first Friday off this year and I just happen to live in Salinas; anything worth buying in the ad?

I've only gone to Turner's a few times only to be disappointed in their powder selection.

Kimber 1911 probably sold out by the first 20 people in line.

i got to turners about 10 and there was still one kimber left. they said the first person showed up at 5 am. i left about noon and backpacks were sold out and still some sale guns left but not alot. i was surprised the 38 supers hadnt sold out . some great deals for sure. the mayor and chamber of commerce were there for a ribbon cutting ceremony too. mayor joe gunter is pro law enforcement and pro gun also. im curious to see the final total for guns sold at the end of today.

If it's not too late, consider the beretta px4 storm. It's my favorite pistol, very comfortable and has never malfunctioned. I like it so much that it sits nearby, waiting patiently.

i think the ruger americans sold out before 10 . i didnt check when i went back at 4.30 to see if any sale guns were left at all. i was able to double dip on the 9mm and lead free 17hmr ammo and also grabbed 4 of the cheap ar mags. probably should have picked up some 223 but didnt for some reason. will check tommorrow as the 223 is the cheapest ive ever seen it since i bought my first ar 6 or 7 years ago. the 9mm, 17hmr and 223 ammo beat walmart prices real good but the 22 was still a tad cheaper at walmart. but overall this sale was awesome and cant decide if it would be good or bad for me if they had the same sale every 6 months, lol.
