Crap. I'd totally get this but I hate multi-mode flashlights. I'll look to see if they have an on/off only version.

Looks like a bunch of fake reviews.

It takes a little legwork, but you can spot the fake reviewers pretty easily by looking at their history.

Interesting, I wasn't sure exactly how Fakespot worked. The flashlight seemed to do well on ReviewMeta as well, but for me it looks too similar to the ChiCom ones I've used which are mediocre.

It's not what I would trust in a bug-out-bag or carry as my single flashlight, but I've bought cheapies before and they're awesome to stash away in various places to use when basically any light will do. I have inexpensive knives that I purchase for the same reason.

Places for cheapie flashlights:
* Car trunk
* Car glove box
* Various drawers in the house (no, not *those* drawers!)
* Garage
* In my tool boxes
* One in the safe and gun bags
* Next to the front door
* ....

Ditto. And Bic lighters. Much easier than a bow drill.

The irony is that whenever you go looking for the light in those places because you need it, that is when you want to make sure it works. I did exactly what you did, buying cheapy lights and throwing them everywhere I might find it useful. But when the time came and I needed it, most of them did not work. Ymmv I guess.

With a little due diligence you won't need to have that many lights in that many places, unless you're constantly losing things or forgetting where you put it.

absolutely not 900 lumens, more around 500-600, but for the price you can't really lose.

This is why I don't like flashlights with stupid modes or functions. Every one I've owned had some bad parasitic drain. A simple on/off model has never done that to me.

The most worthless feature to me is high/low. Don't think I've ever said "wow this flashlight is too bright-I should dim it down."

I almost always dim it down to the lowest level needed for the job to save battery life.

same, I can leave it in the max setting, but sometimes it's better to have the appropriate lighting for the situation. like when ive done weird stuff on my front yard, and I didn't want random people seeing my glaring flashlight wondering, wth is he doing.

I mainly use mine to avoid canine landmines in the backyard, so for me the brighter the better.

Mine came today.. pretty nuts when you figure it was under $7 shipped.. how can they afford to sell them? lol

Overall quality seems pretty good.. it's no Streamlight, but the CS so far is better than Surefire.. lol

Seems bright, not 900 lumens bright, but bright enough.. can't complain for the cost.

These flashlights are all made in a factory in China and branded with different names. I have this exact light (identical in every way), but it is labeled as an UltraFire model WF-502B. It has been hard to find quality 18650 batteries for it, as they are mostly found on Ebay......yup, likely from the same Chinese factory. My light has been acting up for some time, as when it is in bright mode, it will sometimes go very dim on me. I wouldn't mind having another, as I do prefer the size, and the light (rated @ 900, but actually more like ~500 lumens). For $7, I may just order one.

IDK, something tells me this is one of those buy now, cry later products. You get what you pay for.

How much are you really going to cry over $7? lol

I've been using it just for giggles.. so far no issues.. even dropped it in the backyard a few times "just to see"

Got the light and ordered batteries for it. Does it work? YES! It works great, definitely NOT 900 lumens though, even on a full charge with the appropriate batteries. I have no way of measuring the lumens other than a comparison to my surefire which is I believe 300 lumens. I'd say this Tronsonic is slightly brighter than my Surefire, about 500 lumens is my guess. Still a BRIGHT and great light at $7 bucks shipped (at the time I bought it). It has high, med, low, strobe, SOS. I'm happy with my $7 dollar flashlight. Only downside is the batteries are proprietary and not AA, they're slightly bigger so I had to buy 4 pack and charger for my wife and my flashlight. $20 bucks. Still not bad for $14 dollars for 2 lights and $20 for charger and 4 batteries. We're happy.
