Default doj system down for bullseye San Rafael?

I drove an hour an a half to pick up a pistol that was a ppt and its been 11 days since dros. employees said they can't release any firearms since the doj's system was down...only at that store. I have only been to bullseye twice and have left with a negative impression both times now. once during the ppt where I was talked to in a condescending tone and then told I HAD to buy a lock from them on the spot. and today this issue.

Why would they need DROS to be online to perform a release.
An initail background check, yes but I dont understand for a release.

I only check for delay and denials once a day. Once ten days is done, I'm ready to release. Why do they need DROS?

Why make a PPT any more work than necessary.

Bullseye is a crap store, especially for PPT's
They are arrogant, unhelpful and try to drag out the process as long as possible. I don't PPT there if I can help it, I don't use their range anymore and I will never buy a retail gun from them.
As I understand it, the background check comes back go or no-go in under 30 minutes, if you have a hold placed on your sale, the DOJ will let you know before the 10 days is up. I call BS.
Check-in with the DOJ (this could take a while) and see if there is any truth to this fiction. If not, report them for willfully obstructing a PPT, which is not legal.

The FFL should check just before releasing the firearm, but it is not required. The DOJ will tell you that you have to have access to the DROS system in order to release a firearm, but I don't know where that is actually required.

I have heard of some places getting dropped off the system due to permits expiring and was recently told that 70 places just dropped off. In some cases it is not the fault of the place since the city might have issued the new permit in time, in other cases it can be because the place had not paid all the fees.

A rejection can come at any time and I have seen that. The rejection can be for many reasons, not just a background check, but things such as DMV issues. From what I have heard, the DOJ will call before putting it on the DROS system, which is a bit silly since the DOJ might not get the FFL on the phone as the FFL could be working, but that seems to be the way it is done.

I was finally able to pick up my pistol today. I was upset that they would not call their customers or post on their website to let them know that there was an issue with the dros or doj system and no one would be able to pick up their firearms.

Honestly the story they gave me sounded like B.S. I was really upset that I drove 70miles each way yesterday to find out that they were not releasing any firearms, went home empty handed on the day they told me to pick up my gun. I had to go back today, another 140miles total but finally got my pistol.

I wont be doing any business at Bullseye anymore. Between the way the employee spoke to me in a condescending tone and the issue picking up my gun, I would not trust them with another ppt let alone purchasing a firearm from them.
