would love to defend this, BTW - just like we had fun with the U15 stock in a past case. This isn't a regulatory

Please feel unhindered in using this as a 'compliance part' for a featureless build.

Thanks for the bump Bill!! We're expanding our "due diligence" campaign to all restricted states. Since New york passed their AW ban and since articles were posted on Firearm Blog and Guns.com, we've been receiving orders from all over the country. Even from non ban states for fear of on coming bans.

We're working on something but there's still no guarantees.

Our endplates are radiused which reduces that discomfort considerably. Even on my regular pistol grip rigs that sharp edge digs in. When the new website is done, we'll be offering our "ergonomic endplates" as standalone products.

Just joined the revolution today with Thordo's help. The stock is comfortable and looks great on the rifle. I'm excited to start using standard magazines again, for the first time in years!

(Thordo's ambi mag release is a dandy, too!)

Great facility and staff down there in South City! Enjoyed the visit - thanks again Thordo!

Another awesome idea from Thordo. First the UBBT now this, been watching progress on it since first posted.

So, maybe now is the time to ask... I wonder about using that nice QD buffer tube + cheek riser on an AR pistol? I would like to swap mine over to your. Thoughts?

You got a rare shop tour. It was great talking to you and your baby turned out fantastic. Once you get that BTC and cheek rise it'll be even better!!

We get a progress report from the mold maker once a week. They are still on schedule for third week of February. We'll post progress reports as the day gets closer.

Hi Glock this,

We're waiting patiently for the letter from ATF. We talked to a technology branch agent at shot show and he affirmed that there are similar products that have been given the OK but that we should get a letter for our product specifically just to be sure. Fedexed our brief and samples the day we got back from shot. It'll probably be a few more weeks before we get word back.

Well, I am in when said letter is received. BTW, did you post a retail price on that QD buffer tube version + cheek riser, if so I missed it?

Shot Show was weird this year. Lots of exhibitors as always but the mood was not great. Of course the NY law went into effect on Tuesday which caused a heck of a stir.

The FRS-15 was received very well!! We went there with a list of about 20 organizations we wanted to talk to and ended up talking to nearly 100. One meeting rolled over into another. I think it'll have a national presence very quickly once the production units start rolling out. When we went to talk to ATF and opened our brief case, the agent's eyes lit up. He already knew what it was (he saw it on firearm blog) and liked it a lot and said he'd figured it was just a matter of time before something like it was brought to market. He asked "You do have patents on this right?" The answer being a resounding YES!! We sent a new brief and samples to the technology branch and are expecting a very favorable reply.

We're working on a brand new website. Once complete, we'll reveal what the production stock design will look like. We're VERY excited and anxious to get FRS out on a large scale. We have started taking pre-orders from small shops to major manufacturers all over the country. Even from non restricted states.

They should be out by mid to late April. The buffer tube covers are still on schedule for release later this month.

Any of these will fit. They are in order from lowest to highest quality/price. They do require some trimming of the rubber flap on the back but that's it.

UTG M4 PAD
PROMAG AR-15 M4 6 POS RECOIL PAD
Tapco Intrafuse T6
LIMBSAVER PAD AR-15/M4

We have them in stock and will have them available on our new website which should go live by the end of February. Most every online seller of accessories will have them or email me at thordsencustoms@gmail.com and we'll take care of you.

I'm not sure why you are bumping this thread when you are not even taking back orders.
It keeps making me sad I can not even get on a list for a list that gets you to a list for back orders.

Please be patient!! Production stocks are coming!!

We get hundreds of requests from Individuals, dealers, distributors, and manufacturers from all over the country every week. With everything else we have to do, it's impossible to keep track of every one of them with our small staff.

I just put another machine on making stocks so now 3/4 of our machining capacity is dedicated to stock production on top of our regular contract work.

I had a quick question for you. For those that ordered the pre-production stock kits. When you do send out the molded buffer tube cover and matching cheek riser, will it fit a mil specced standard tube or a 6 positioned tube?

Hi Kat76,

I edited the OP to provide this info yesterday. The BTC will fit any commercial or Milspec carbine buffer tube.

Progress report: We got an update from the tool maker yesterday afternoon. The molds are 85% complete and first shots are due to come off by 2/26. We can't wait to see them!!

Would it be considered a pistol grip if the back half wasn't part of the design? I think it would be real nice to have just the forward half as-is with a typical buffer tube fixed stock. Possible/legal?

I would say no. Without that lower design it would basically be a revolver grip. That lower portion keeps your hand from sliding down so the web of your hand is below the top of the trigger.
