Default 1871 Mauser single shot

These pop up here for sale once in a while. A Model 1871 Mauser 11MM single shot. This one's marks mean is was built in the old Steyr factory with King Of Prussia marks, then sent somewhere in South America then eventually CA. Pictured with paper patched flat points for the repeater version of this gun. The bore is amazing on this thing.

An original '71 and not a 71/84 ... that's a beauty!

I still regret being just a little bit too late to grab a 71/84 for a mere $60 some years back ... I wasn't quite 18 and it took a little while to track down a responsible adult in the gun show crowd

That is a really nice bore for a gun that old. I've seen many 71/84s but not 71s. I would love to add one to my collection.
