Feinstein is more likely to croak and then we have a chance of getting someone who is better

He changed his name to de Leon from Leon because in Spanish the de part means "from Leon". That's because his daddy was just a casual acquaintance of his mother and that was the only name she knew him by...At least that's what he told the Sacto Bee.

And when Feinstein croaks, Leon is appointed to serve the remainder of her term. A classic lose-lose situation.

It doesn't.

But hey, we do have that too two vote getter thing in California, so we'll get to choose between two Democrats in the general election! Isn't that great?

Leon you bleeping hypocrite. If you are so concerned about laws then why are you so determined to break them pandering to illegals?

Personally I'd prefer Leon in the senate. He may get a committee seat or two, but with his uber leftist views and history I don't see him capable of having much influence in the senate. He's spent his whole political career in this state with like minded politicians and I don't think he can comprehend, let alone cope with, opposing views from the other senators.

Swinester at least has had time to cultivate allies and learn the value of compromise. She can be far more effective in pushing through legislation like gun control. Leon has none of her advantages and once he starts spouting off about free health care, free college, no wall, etc I think the majority of the senate will shut him out.

Remember a few years ago when a number of freshmen repubs won election, and how they were going to change government? How effective were they challenging the old guard? If a young dynamic group of freshmen were unable to alter congress to any degree then I highly doubt a radical leftist freshman, from CA no less, will be successful in doing so. Think Boxer and what she accomplished, Leon will be the same.

Ha. I'm convinced from recent pics, that RBG actually died 1-2 years ago, and the other lib SC judges are just propping her up in her chair.

Looks like another choice of two democrats as this is an official one-party state like Cuba.

I will cast the ballot but leave those choices blank. That is my "none of the above are acceptable" vote. If enough do this it will get coverage.

Turns out voting has become another form of protests here.

Now the next thing is Tom Steyer is thinking about challenging Feinstein. He has deep pockets. Could turn out to be who can outspend who?

Carli Fiorina, Meg Whitman both big buck SV types failed. Feinstein is way beyond wealthy, in addition to being able to raise mountains of political donations. Steyer and Leon could vote split her denying an outright majority, but at the end of the day, she comes out on top.
Feinstein’s camp has already taken a nice shot at Leon calling him a just another termed politician looking for a job. Trump hasn’t done too well with “Business mogul turned inexperienced politician” with the Dems. She’ll paint Styer with that brush.

Yet she won CA by 4 million votes. That is used by the libs every day to say Shrillary won the "popular vote". Well, maybe in Mexifornia, but in not the rest of the nation.

Little Kevin seems to think his principles and politics will see him through as he goes up against one of the most corrupt and entrenched politicians we have.

This is going to be fun to watch as DiFi sends him back to his kennel with poop on his nose and smarting from getting whacked with a rolled up newspaper.
