If the only thing that went wrong was this mag, then I think that's not much of a blemish. It could not be intentional. It was not a box of ammo or anything.
I think a simple explanation will come up for it at some time.
I went to Utah last month, and I got to Nevada and realized I forgot my Colt .45. That could have been a big one if I had left it on the table at the restaurant or something, but I immediately realized I left it in the safe at home.
Just forgot to load it on the bike. No big deal, someone in Utah just lent me another .45 so I was able to do some shooting.
