Default Walmart Rumor via Rush Limbaugh

Heard Rush Limbaugh say this morning on his radio show that Walmart has decided to stop selling ammo. Hope that's not true.

Edit: Just found this: http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/wal-mart-..._orig=politics

This morning he said that Walmart was not ordering more ammo until this whole AWB/Ammo ban gets settled. Walmart said they will continue to sell ammo.

This link indicates that is not true. Hope not, as I buy most of my ammo there.

A quick google regarding the Walmart ammo story found this:

“That information is inaccurate,” said Ashley Hardie, a spokeswoman located at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.

WND then asked whether the retail chain is cutting back on orders of ammunition.

“No,” Hardie said. “We’re continuing to serve our customers as we have in the past.”

She said Walmart’s ammunition sales policy has not changed, even amid talk of gun-control legislation in Washington, D.C.

The uproar began when the InvestmentWatch blog posted a story headlined, “Breaking & confirmed: Walmart is not going to order any more ammo.”

CNS News cited the report, and talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh mentioned it during his Monday show. CNS has since removed the report from its own site.

We'll see....Walmart the world's biggest retailer has not let any sort of complaints stop them from earning a buck and they should not. I hope Walmart continues to provide ammunition for those of us who exercise our 2nd Amendment rights.

Fat people are a race? If a fat person and a skinny person have a kid is it half fat?
If only one of your great-grandparents was fat, does that still count? 1/8th fat?
Can you tell just by looking at them?

Talked with a manager here in Sacto. And he claims that ammo is on back order like everyone else. We need to be patient and just wait this one out, just like all other panics, it blows over, save your money and what ammo you have!

Went to my WW tonight and bought some Serbian 9mm, they also had the same stuff in .380. Beside that they had a box of .38 spl, 22 short and most of the usual rifle ammo minus the .223, 7.62x39, .308. There wasn't anything else not a single case of 12g bird shot. I asked the employee, who keep in mind probably didn't know his azz from his elbo, what's going on? Is the ammo being held back or is it back orders due to panic buying? He said, they're hold back on shipping ammo till there's a ruling on the new anti gun bills. However he said they are for some reason still shipping the foreign stuff from Serbia and have filled some pre sandy hook orders but there will be no new orders processed until there's a ruling.
I told him if WW stops selling ammo I'll never step foot into another one again.

I thought WW's in Sac didn't sell ammo anymore. Atleast the one I stopped at off 80 didn't sell ammo. I was told that WW's in Sac don't sell ammo anymore.

Intelligent statement and personal attack there. You may or may not agree with all Rush Limbaugh says and believes but you better be kissing his Fat butt and thanking him for atleast being a opposition voice to the radical left.

Without his voice and others like him on Talk Radio and Sean Hannity this whole thing going on now would be even worse than it is now. Why would any Firearms owner want to attack one of the very few outlets that trys to defend your sorry asses rights.
I assume you are a firearms owner right?

Just be thankful the Liberal press outlets do not have a full monopoly on the news sources as they are trying to obtain.. GEEEZ

Went to Walmart yesterday and they put all of their shotgun shells behind the glass along with the rest of the ammo. Since the shells were usually out in the open I asked one of the guys why they decided to do that and he said the manager was told to do so in anticipation of "laws". Don't know if clerk was spreading fud but that's what I was told. Also this Walmart ne'er knows what they get it just comes in

The manager of my Walmart said it took a year for the stock to come back to pre-panic volume after Obama was elected in 2008.

The ammo shelves at my store as of yesterday - ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358352577.052268.jpg

Mostly oddball hunting rounds.

Picked up 4x100 (should have grabbed all 8) cci minimags 22lr at a Walmart in North County San Diego last weekend, another nearby local had almost nothing at all, and had a sign posted saying the main warehouse is backordered and no new orders COULD be made..

So now you need to llok at those oddball rounds, figure out which one is short enough to run in an AR mag well, then build custom "panic edition" AR's in that caliber (from low end components) and sell them for $3000 each. You can thank me later.

Now that's an idea! Yes I know you were being at least slightly sarcastic, but that is plausible.

I have some oddball calibers in my collection that aren't jumping off the shelf (yet) thankfully. No problems getting it at the last gun show I was at for the normal price I've always payed.

I was there (Mountain View) yesterday (1/15) and they had 6 of the winchester 100 bulk packs of .45 ACP (!!!!) the guy said it just came in that morning, along with 9mm, but the 9 is all gone. If I didn't reload, I'd have snatched up all that .45!
