Default Luger smith in socal

Can anyone recommend a good Luger gunsmith in socal? I have a friend who recently acquired a commercial navy length Luger but it's not working properly.

It will fire the first shot and will then eject the spent case and load the next round from the magazine but it is not recocking at that point. It will not fire if you pull the trigger, but if you manually eject that round and reload it will then fire.

So it will fire if the toggle is worked manually but not if it is worked by recoil.

Thanks.

If not already done
Disassemble and give it a good cleaning first - many problems are caused by dirt and grime

Also, Luger P08s tend to be ammo sensitive - try different brands/loadings

Caveat - being an older piece, stay away from P+, +P+ stuff tho'

lugers are very sensitive I would disassemble completely and look at the action. I bought a helwan about a yr ago took it to the range and on the 3rd round the hammer was stuck in the locking position. took it apart cleaned it and oiled the springs the hammer became usable again.

Worked on my Fosbery and my G41(m) - although unfamiliar with either firearm, we got them fixed and running.

Thumbs up to American Gunworks.
