Default Pact III Timer

Hello! I thought the competition crowd might be able to help me with a question....it doesn't appear the PACT III timer has a low battery indicator. How is this handled in competitions to avoid the battery going out during a stage or match? Are new batteries installed before every match to ensure accurate reporting? I could see this as a big deal if a timer stopped performing mid-shooting resulting in a competitor having to do the stage over again. Thanks much for your help!

In my experience the PACT timer's battery lasts an incredibly long time and doesn't show any performance degradation until the battery really is at the end of its life. I change my battery out once a year and have never had it die on me between changes. I shoot with it 5-6 times per month and use it for practices in between matches.

Interesting, that is good to hear it has a long battery life. I bought mine about a year ago and use it at the range, about 2-4 times a month. After a few trips using it, after the initial countdown to start, it would stop at .01 seconds every time, regardless of my shooting. I assumed the battery needed to be changed because as soon as I put in a new one, it didn't do that anymore. I wonder if I need to contact their customer service.

Possibly. I beat mine up on a regular basis and have never seen that happen. Maybe the battery it came with was just bad, so I'd keep an eye on it to see if the problem resurfaces now that you've replaced it.
