Default Rhino Revolver - SA to DA

A few years ago I was going to SAE a out of state Rhino, my local dealer on Miramar Road (San Diego) was going to do this for me for 50.00 if I recall. I couldnt come up with the money then for the purchase, but now I am wondering if the parts are available from manufactor so I can buy a california compliant SA Rhino and do the conversion myself (I heard its not that easy if one hasnt done this before). I believe Rifle Gear in orange county will do these as well with their own inventory but thats too far for me.
A 60D Rhino can be had for about 900.00 from a out of state Private party, so I am around 1000.00 for the DA Rhino, assuming I go back to my local dealer and they are still willing to do it.
This is my "Holy Grail" handgun and about the only thing I wish to purchase in terms of adding to my stockpile. Any thoughts or words of wisdom.
If I am not clear on my question, it is that I wish to purchase out of state DA Rhino, transfer via SAE and have dealer turn back to DA for me.
Should this be the best/cheapest way to go about it?
Anyone know which Rhino model I actually need to purchase (they have several variants of all barrel lengths)
As always, thank you to all the knowledgeable people that make this forum a great resource.
