You could argue that the spraying would be enough by itself, and you'd be right. But being an engineer, I always like redundancy to increase the factor of safety. It's also 2 factor sterilization using different mediums. Chemical and light sterilization combined will be better than either one by itself. Can't be too careful these days.
Agreed. But do these chemicals have the potential to compromise or damage the mask itself? After all these are intended to be disposable..

There's several health care outfits testing how many times you can re-use a sterilized N95. It their experience, you get about 50 uses before the weak link begins to deteriorate past it's usable state. That weak link is the elastic bands.

So most places re-using them have limited the number of sterilization cycles to 30 to play it safe.

Getting ready to build a UV cabinet. I have some Lifeguard UV bulbs. Question. Will any rated ballast work?
Also is there a minimum wattage recommended? I have 25 watt bulbs.
