There has been AW registrations in the past and nobody is coming knocking. Raise your middle fingers in the air, point to the center of the state and exercise your god giving rights.

If you choose not to register, remove the assine bullet button and keep the lower and upper unattached until you're ready to use the weapon, Not an assault weapon if not assembled, per. DOJ.

But what's the point if you killed an intruder with an illegal "assault weapon" ?they'll fry your *** to the tenth degree with some tag line that you were waiting to murder someone with an inhumane weapon.

Can't win in this state.

I'm in Las Vegas right now. Went looking at houses outside of town. I have gone to three gun stores. I am hoping to have my house sold and living here by the end of the year. My AR's have fixed mags. They won't at the end of the year.

I felt like writing something goofy so: I blocked all my mags to hold only 1, bent and plugged the barrel, removed the flash hider, removed the bullet button, welded the magazine to the receiver, and removed the grip. Register my gun? Hell no, why would I now?

Don't use an "assault weapon" for home protection, try a handgun, shotgun,
etc. Something that you are willing to give up as evidence to the police after the defensive shooting occurs... just a reasonable thought

Nope. All of my (2) AR platform rifles are now featureless. Hate the grip fins, but can live with them. Enjoy the ability to drop magazines quickly. Don't miss the flash hider and didn't really "adjust" the stock much before, so fixed isn't even a issue.

Yep. The Magpul fixed stocks are nice and the MIAD+Backfin combo is a winner.

About 50/50.
Bullpups registered mostly to shink down to 26” OAL, An AR pistol, and a flyweight AR. Anything pre 2014 not registered (but modified to be compliant) why create registration when none exist.

Not registering.

Going featureless, using the outstanding Survival Systems' Option Zero stock and removing the flash hider.

You could use an AR for HD in an enclosed space but it will deafen you. In very CQB with FMJ you may also be dealing with over penetration issues or flyers that keep going and hit something untended.

OP either isn't aware that DoJ reads here, or he's being disingenuous. Stating publicly that you intend to break the law is not the brightest of moves.

In case you want to enjoy it at the local range or open space without fear of being busted.

But one lives close to the border and can shoot in a free state with little effort, then yea.

Yes. It will only be a problem when Arizona and Nevada disallow their use which of course is likely never.

Comparing today to almost 20yrs ago to justify registration is ridiculous. Registration is much different nowadays.

Seriously?

Umm.. because as soon as you put it together and want to go shoot it, you're an insta-felon?

Or if you actually needed to use it to defend yourself, the bad guy probably isnt going to sit there while you fiddle with lining up takedown pins?

I think in that case you'd also have to register as a sex offender.

Meh,

I can kinda see it if the safe was already overflowing with featureless rifles.
Might not want to spend more money to make yet another featureless unit.

Might just keep one or more disassembled for out of state use.
And what the heck, one can always make the disassembled units featureless at a later date.

Bet some of us are in this boat right now.

I have gotten rid off all of my ARs and now only shoot AKs. AKs are much easier to make featureless and not register.
