They took down the cabinet part of the shelf today... Not sure what that means.

@krazychowmein...
Was that you with your daughter?

~6:00p

I swung by and saw the sales clerk emptying the cage. A manager was standing there observing. I asked if they were in the midst of restocking and they said no. I asked more questions but was pretty much ignored. The sales clerk mumbled something about they changing it and reorganizing. I didn't bother asking him to clarify as it seemed he didn't want to appear like he was giving me information in front of his boss, so I left.

Maybe Valegian can clarify.

Im messing with you guys. Due to the high theft happening in the store, they had to sacrifice the glass doors to an other area to try to keep people from stealing. They will still sell ammo but it will be kept secured in a safe spot. You just have to ask them to phsically check for it instead of being able to see it behind glass until the new cabinet arrives. It might be a little more frustrating for those looking for ammo because not every employee at WM has access to or knows where the ammo is stored. So again, I was kidding and they have NOT stopped selling ammo.

@IPSICK, sorry, didn't see your message

By shells I meant shotgun ammo and not particularly 12 gauge. I send replies on my phone so I end up using slang for brevity sake. I'm also not looking for shotgun ammo in particular, although maybe I should since it appears to be in stock.

@Valegian, thanks for the explanation. I seriously thought that WM-Milpitas was halting ammo sales when the sales clerk (whom I shall dub "Useless") was emptying the cage.

I'm curious too!

Last time I was at that particular WM, I picked up some pretty good deals on tactical under armour style LS shirts for range and outdoor activities.

Any WWB .45 230gr. FMJ in stock? Does this stuff disappear quickly? I'm up in San Francisco. So it's hard to convince myself to make the drive all the way down there only to find out there's nothing in stock.

Maybe WM got tired of so many pictures of that glass case showing up on this site.
Perhaps a tiny web cam can be slipped into the back stock area where this ammo will be kept?
I'll bet a lot of the workers there are going to avoid the sporting goods area so that they won't get stopped every two minuets with people asking them to check for whatever cartridge they are looking for.

And I thought having the case behind the counter was annoying. I much prefer the mountain view setup where we could walk up to and put our nose right on the glass of the ammo case

Thanks. Unfortunately didn't get there in time for the .22lr. Gilroy only has CCI .22 short and .22 WMR as of 4 pm today.

Thanks for the update Darmog, I was just about to drive out to Gilroy and give it a shot for .22lr... New to Calguns (1st post), but this thread is quickly become my most visited webpage! LOL.... figured I should jump on board and post rather than just leach for info. Hopefully I have some info to share on my endless Ammo hunts! Thanks to Valegian for saving me from making many pointless trips to Milpitas Walmart!

Another thanks to MC408. I placed an order for both the Blazer Brass and American Eagle. Free shipping with no sales tax is really nice too.

That's odd. The blazer brass sold out on gander mountain last night but came back in stock this morning.

@Firebert , Yeah. I noticed same thing. Blazers brass was sold out last night so I picked up some federal. Checked this morning and both were available so picked up the blazers as well! I received confirmation e-mails, but nothing is for sure until it shows up at the doorstep.

Just picked up the last box of wwb 9mm at the Tracy Walmart. (Fist pump!)

The stock status is crazy. Just left bass pro and they had nothing to speak of either.

Cage is gone. Just bare shelves and a sign to ask a manager. Spoke to the guy who has always been helpful. He said no 9s and .45s. Only ammo avail is 20 guage. Tomorrows truck will have .38 special only. He mentioned again how us "calgunners" know the stocking times and when to line up. Lol.
