No free market, no guns for sale.

Don't buy it, pity the fool who does.

I kinda feel sorry for the poor sap that purchases that. That's more than I paid for my refurbished SIG 229 back in '08 when we were having this same problem. Just hold out a little while. The prices will come down again.

Man, if people are paying that kind of coin for a GLOCK I am selling all of mine and holding on to the profits until the rush is over and then I will buy new ones. Actually, the money isn't really worth the effort now that I think of it.

Yeah, just like AR stripped lowers cost $450 & 1000rds of 223 costs $700. It's a panic market. If you dont want to pay the current rate, you'll have to wait for eveything to calm back down.

On a side note, Gunbroker isn't the best reference for gun prices. There's always someone dumb enough to drive the auction up way higher than any intelligent person is willing to pay.

In this auction there are 4 or 5 who are actively bidding. Let them.

DVSmith, unless you are really busy this is the time to sell. I have would and will.

After giving it a few seconds of thought I came to the conclusion that I really hate dealing with the whole selling (answering all the vapid questions and then the negotiations), shipping, dealing with payment etc. Just isn't my cup of tea.

Or get a good brand. Just kidding.

If you have a collection with a few stray ends this is the time to sell them, is all I am saying.

Perhaps it was the same person with different accounts bidding on their own items and waiting for a dummy to bite.

Just my theory.

My thoughts exactly. I tried selling on ebay for a bit and it was nothing but a headache. Buyers SUCK...

That is harder to do than it sounds, but possible. Imo the Gunbroker gang is more adept at sniffing than out than average.

For instance the local yokels.

Never had a bad sell on ebay. Can't say that for buys.

Nor sells or buys here. YMMV.

Can anyone guarantee us they will be available in the future as they are currently configured? I know I wouldn't want a dummie down version with a 7 round max magazine. Or a legal pistol thats set for single shot only. Hence, the rush to buy and the greedy hording.

What did you sell? I had the STUPID idea to sell collectibles such as T-formers, GI Joe, Star Wars, that kind of stuff. Didn't matter how much detail or effort I put into my auctions, the buyers always had to nitpick SOMETHING about the listing and would never shut up about it. Don't like my product or my auction? Move on! Better yet, stop playing with toys, move out of your mom's house and go talk to some girls or something.

There are tons of similar auctions on with sometimes dozens of people bidding stupid amounts of money for hanguns, rifles, magazines, etc. While I'm sure there are some instances of people with multiple accounts tossing up shill bids on their own auctions, it's really not necessary for them to do it.

I'm in a small town so YMMV. None of the dealers in my town have any Glocks in stock. I have 2 coming in and 10 customers calling everyday to see if they have arrived. I can honestly say, after these 2, I have no idea when I will see more. I realize in a bigger town with bigger stores your selection will be better. I turn away people who jump in their truck to drive 5 hours, 1 way, to Reno to find selection. So when I see these prices I fully understand both sides.

I just wish I had more coin I would have bought another 1-2 G35's for $450 shipped that were Guv trade ins... the ones I got looked carried a lot ,not shot much, and the Trit sights are still good!

I think you can buy them for retail still at TheGlockStore.com

What chafes me is at the G show in costa mesa, people were asking like 66-100 FOR A 10 ROUND MAG !!! I think the rebuild kits were going for similar also... Of course all mag prices are just effin stupid....

On an UP note, I paid $25/50 rds of Win 40 sw 180gr bonded HP.... $10 more than i paid in Dec but still same or CHEAPER than 9mm was going for... hell some brands were $50/50 for FMJ...... and when 308 is cheaper than 223/556 in a lot of cases, summpin aint right!

I had the same experience. The buyer I finally sold one item too was acting so nice that when they asked about how to replace a missing part (which they knew ahead of time because it was in the listing) I just ordered it for them and had it shipped with a spare to them directly. I think that shocked them.

In general people just asked stupid questions that told me they had no clue what they were buying. I stopped answering questions that were just that dumb.

It wasn't worth the effort. From that point on I just donate stuff to Goodwill or a local charity. Not guns though!! LOL

Well, that isn't 100% correct. I did donate a gun to a fundraiser for a PAC one time.

Glocks should not cost that much. I bought a lnib g19 gen3 with night sights for $390 knowing I can sell in for $400ish if I wanted and not loose money on it. Glocks are great striker fired guns that will always go bang, but for $800?? That's just crazy!!

Gen 4 9mm Glocks are in high demand and some people want one right now instead of waiting to find one for a normal price.

I wanted a Glock 19 bad but I realized how hard it was to get one and talked to a local gun shop that had recently gotten their FFL so they were waiting for their shipment of guns. The guys told me they wouldn't be getting any Glock 19s in however they had a Glock 23 coming in. Even though I had never fired 40S&W before, I jumped on it and I picked it up last week. I can see how people are desperate enough to pay more for instant gratification. I just couldn't wait for a Glock, at that point any Glock would do.

Some are also afraid that with Feinsteins AWB that bans copies of full auto pistols, does that mean that the G-18 makes all glocks copies of a full auto pistol and this banned

J and G sales still has Glock trade ins for sale... I agree that the price seems nuts!!!

At the LGS where I'm a part timer we have almost 200 Glocks on order and they trickle in a few here and a few there weekly.

It's the way things are right now..

I sold a "decent" AR for $1600.. took me 1.5 hours to do it.. pre-panic I would have been hard pressed to get $800 for it.

People want what they fear they won't be able to get later..

Although I don't get this Glock.. it's not even a "higher cap" version.. I wonder what my Gen4 G17 with 4 standard-cap mags would bring? lol

So, when did they begin to 'catch up' last year around this time?

Hopefully I'll be able to find myself a GLOCK 30 SF in a couple of months on the marketplace for a decent price .

To be honest, that's not a horrible price, ATLEAST not in Ca, this month I bought a gen 4 glock 35 for $952 otd. That's shipping, tax, dros and sse. 669+ 53 + 125.

I've seriously considered leaving this state for a free one, but I'll hold out until I know if there is anywhere left to be free.
