Default Marched on my gun range this morning

Felt a little odd going shooting with my Taurus PT92 AF with all the marching going on. But after putting 100 rounds through it (boy, do I need the practice), I felt really relaxed driving home.

I marched right into my LGS and picked up my new DW Wraith home.

I chanted "No more guns, No More Guns, NO MORE GUNS!" as I filled out the 4473.

I meant for today. Tomorrow is another story...

If you joined the march, you could have avoided this.

Today after watching the news. I stopped at the LGS and compared the 92FS to the M9. Both are a good choices.

March . . . they want to march? Let 'em do what I did 10 days after I graduated high school at 17 years, 9 months old. Strap on pistol belt, pack, and sling up an M-14. Then go for a little march for several miles, with a couple of them at double time. That ought to use up some of that youthful energy. And if not, the drill sergeant will be more than happy to come up with a few "things" for them to do, which will not include selfies and tweets. Geez. . . these kids . . .

September 1969 (after basic training, a few days before my 18th birthday)

I marched down to the safe and the parts bin, then assembled the 6.5 Grendel

Marched to the safe to see how many #4 Buckshots I got on standby. Made sure the bolt on my ARs are wet.

I marched on a gun range in Sacramento that hosted a Glock Shooting Sport Foundation Indoor League tournament. I showed my support for Gun Control by achieving a perfect score. Felt good to fight for what is right.

I went to ITTS Handgun II training over the weekend. They can march for their lives, I prefer to train for mine.

We gotta quit using the term marched...that is what the foot soldiers do when ordered to fall in line...

We, fellow CGers, stride onto to scene and assume control...

My Army BCT graduation photo is a time stamp of me in the best shape, most disciplined, and sharpest mental acuity of my life. I have gazed upon it fondly over the years as I careened ever downward from that apex.

Hooah!

Excellent point! I've come up with a few words or phrases we could use:
  • mill about
  • mill around (one of my favorites)
  • stroll
  • meander
  • amble
  • saunter (another of my favorites)
  • mosey (and still another of my favorites)
  • lollygag
  • loiter

I mean come on . . . if this was a real civilian protest march there would be some young topless women, tambourines, flowers, young skinny shirtless guys in bell bottoms, and bra and draft card burnings. Oh, wait the pampered generation doesn't have to worry about the draft and draft cards anymore. And, well, I guess with the obesity rate among the young so high now days it just wouldn't look the same. Nonetheless, at least let's have some flowers, bra burnings and body tattoos . . . especially flowers, they always make a nice touch.

I beg to differ

He missed once I think. Guess we need more “marching”. To the range that is.

Don’t worry. I got me so marching in too.
