Default Roadrunner shootout

Got down here to CCPL and checked out the stages for the USPSA Roadrunner Shootout. Never been to this range before. Looks great. Lunch after shooting both days. I'm in squad 10. Single Stack. Anyone else here shooting?

I haven’t shot competition in a while I need to get back out there.
You can thank Greg V out there for all his hard work putting that together.
Have a great time. Stay dry it’s supposed to rain today.

Got back last night from the match. It sprinkled a little Saturday morning but the bags were off the targets for the second stage. They provided tritip sandwiches and had a few prizes at lunch. Sunday was cool to start but clear and turned into t shirt weather. Hot dogs after shooting. They raffled off 6 Dillon 650s, Springfield 1911 9mm. Also $100 gift certificates from Safariland and Bianchi. Some steel targets and some nice wooden American flags.
Really liked the stages. Our last stage was the classifier. You had to end up with 4 hits on 6 target shooting 2 strings. On my last reload i shot the wrong back target but didn't realize it till walking downrange. 6 hits on one target and 2 hits on the other. 2 mikes and 2 procedurals. Other then that shot ok but I'm just too slow. Got home sat down in front of the tv about 9 and woke up at 2am still in the chair. Had a great time.

It was fun match. Really enjoyed the stages. Weather was great other than the bit of rain at the start. Good prizes, won a butt stock myself

Squad 2 Production here.

I will add, two different stages there were some strange calls by the ROs.

One was a procedural issued on the classifier that should not have been, but the shooter zeroed the stage anyway so he did not complain.

The second was the RO calling misses for shots knicking barrels (not wholly through the hardcover) and still fully penetrating the cardboard. He was calling the hits as misses due to hardcover though 9.1.6.3 specifically says to count them. The shooter there did not argue it then either.

I saw a couple of misses called on barrel hits. One was definitely through the barrel, not sure if the other just nicked it. One was slightly oblong and the other looked like a normal hit but with no grease ring.

Really well run and fun match. Everybody involved did a fantastic job with everything.

Stage 8 getting tossed just might have cost me a spot but no biggie. It's all for fun anyway.
