Replicating rifleman marksmanship practice with Peep Sights on the low end?
First off, it's been over thirty years since I've owned an air rifle (Daisy 880 type) or CO2 Pistol from Crossman.
Been thinking of getting an inexpensive but decent air rifle that can use peep sites to build up my rifle skills. My research leads me to think that a Benjamin 397 (.177 cal) with a Air Venturi Williams 64 Peep Sight would work for me. Looking to work on prone, sitting, and standing shooting positions while using a sling too. Any thoughts about this setup or should I be looking at something elses? |

I like the peep sites on my pumpers too(Benji's and Dan's). You can't go wrong with the Daisy 853 and through CMP which makes it cheap. It's a single pump rifle. Won't be doing much pesting with it outside of sparrows: http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sa...er-air-rifles/
I have a Crosman C9A which is a Crosman branded Sheridan Blue Streak. Which shoots the .20 pellets. Is tapped for the peep if interested. |

I have this one:
