Post Third temple altar dedicated with first lamb sacrifice since 68 AD

Very interesting news. This has to be the most significant prophetic event since Israel became a nation again in May of 1948. On Hanukkah 2018, a lamb was sacrificed on the altar of the new temple, in Israel's 70 anniversary year.

Not just this but a red heifer was born on August 28, 2018. Red Heifer born in Israel

Numbers 19:1-2 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying, ‘Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring you an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke has never been placed.

The ashes from the sacrifice of the red heifer are necessary for purification prior to the building of the Temple.

When I was there, almost 20 years ago, 80%+ of Israelis were non-practicing of any religion. They're more secular than we are. In fact, I was corrected a few times for mistakenly calling them "Jews" or "Jewish" rather than "Israelis" or "Israeli." They truly believed in their secular identity. I'm hoping that cooler heads prevail. A secular state is a bad thing to lose. The last thing we need is another group of right-wing religious fundamentalists causing trouble over there.

If you ever get over there, go visit the Temple Institute, lotsa great items on display, all for the Third Temple when it is finally built and dedicated. I went in 2002, its much bigger now.

but the lamb wasn't sacrificed on the alter. the activists wanted to, but the local government said no so they killed the animal at an off site location.

Quote:
On Monday the activists wanted to enact the complete ritual of slaughtering the animal and offering it, and had even received a permit from the police.

But the municipality’s legal adviser rejected their request to slaughter an animal in a public park outside the Old City walls, thus the sheep earmarked for this purpose was taken to another location to be slaughtered.
and not even on the day of the ceremony, it was killed prior to the dedication and a leg was saved and brought to the temple.

Quote:
a sheep was slaughtered earlier this week in an abattoir, and just one of its front legs was burned on the altar in a practice sacrificial exercise.
