S&W Schofield (Perf Cntr) Value?
Hi,
The other day, a fellow CAS shooter asked if I'd trade my 2000 S&W Perf Cntr Schofield for his Spencer carbine. I'm guessing these Taylor Spencers are prolly worth @ $850-$1000. My revolver has less than a box through it and is in 98% condition. How much is this pistol worth? I've seen them on Gunbroker for $2K but don't think they sell for that much, right?

They are valued 1,100-1,300 for yours since you shot it. I would love to have one. If you don't want a Spencer's carbine for trade and looking for something else let me know. I have been wanting a Schofield for a few years now.

Ask to shoot the Spencer first if you consider the trade; some have reliability issues. What calibre is the Spencer?

He says it's not reliable enough for CAS matches (plus it only holds 8 rounds). So, I guess the trade's off for now.
If someone has a cowboy rifle in .44spl or russian, I'd consider a trade. I'll post something in the Want Ads maybe next week. Thanks guys.
