Default Just moved to Martinez, where is good BLM shooting spot?

Looking for BLM property to legally shoot on. Any ideas? Using .223 and 17hmr 100 to 300 yards is plenty.

Too much private land in the Bay Area. If it's not private land it's probably regional park or in city limits. The closest 100yd range is either Richmond, San Leandro or Yolo since Concord is closed (some mention here that it will re-open soon). For longer distance either Sacramento or Morgan Hill is probably going to be closer than any BLM open land access.

Tumey Hills or Sly Park. Both are ~2hrs from Martinez. These were the only places we have found on BLM land traveling from Martinez.

I believe Tumey hills is closed to vehicles inside the gates. There are a couple locations along the road that may still be open. Not positive.

Spend the money on gas and a cheap room in Nevada. 4 hrs away and the freedom to shoot what you want with nobody else within miles and miles of you.

Spenceville near Beale AFB in Marysville is another BLM you could try. I go there at least one Sunday a month. There's a steel gong up the hillside roughly 350 yards out.

Close to Reno, nope. I'll camp an hour from Fallon off of 50 for a few nites. Sometimes just getting a room and driving out each day. Shooting 4# jugs of Tannerite is fun.

It is worth the drive and cost to not be bothered by others or worried about some idiot Ca enforcer examining your stuff for Ca "legality".

Field Sports Park, it's a Santa Clara County Park. Located in South San Jose but probably closer to Morgan Hill. They have a 200 yard range.
