Default Great, NOW Ruger has new 10/22 sights!

Just got this from Ruger, those are the sights I like, not the ones that have been on the 10/22 for years. Had to use Techsights to get something close to this on my 10/22's.

That looks much better! I've always hated that rear flip up sight.

Yep, my thoughts exactly, however I'm guessing they are only on this model, but maybe they're "testing the waters"?

Looks like the 50th anniversary 10/22 contest rifle, just not stainless and without the flash hider. Same stock, same sights.

That rifle was contributed by an Appleseed Instructor, mac66 and voted for heavily by the Appleseed cadre. It was trying to build an LTR using existing Ruger products.

Note it has sling studs and adjustable aperture sights and swappable stock cheek rise and lop.

But pricey...

Yeah, I know. This new ruger listing is almost the same thing(possibly a cheaper version?).

Yup, looks like they took the Appleseed rifle, left off a couple of features and then added the Collector's Series swag package.

Tech Sights on my 10/22 are perfect for me, however I don't like how tall the front sight wings and post are. They look a little out of proportion to the rest of the rifle. These front sights are similar to, if not identical to the PC9 and newer Mini 14's front sights.

Somebody in another thread posted another company that makes sights similar to Tech Sights, but I can't remember the name of the company or what thread it was in.

That's because Bill Ruger believed that "No honest man needs aperture sights."

Ammo not too hard to find with a little effort if you know where to look, I picked up 16000 rds last year and earlier this year and have only shot 400rd! Plus inherited another 5000rds, so I'm set for awhile. Others out there have stock piled more.

If I got to shoot more I'd be worried but shooting activity isn't outpacing the supply for me anyways.

UPdated with Turners price, which is little more than the standard 10/22.

Too bad we don't have a turners in Nor Cal.

I was pleased to see this offering from ruger. Actually I have a plain Jane 10/22 that I decked out with the nodak spud sight. They work great as irons, and still leaves you choice for optics. Wondering if ruger and nodal worked together on this version, as its almost identical (this rail is slightly longer)
