I don't have any pistols that hold 21 rounds, but can get 6 shots off and reload a DA revolver pretty quick with speed loaders and even faster with moon clips.

Sig P226 Stainless in 9mm. My wife has a P220 with custom grips for her - and that is her favorite.

SIG 239 9mm DAK. It does it all.

That doesn't mean I don't like my 1st gen kimber 5" 1911, g17 g2, or Makarov... or P9 Kahr...the 239 does everything well.

Trust the most - glock 17, maybe not the best fit, not the most accurate with, but with 3k rnds and no failures, I trust it.

Fit the best - cz75

CZ 75 Compact with thin aluminum grips and night sites. Just the other day when I picked it up I thought, "This thing fits my hand perfectly." I also shoot it very well.

It's my "nightstand" gun.

This thread has a split personality within its question.

Because the 3 aspects of "The handgun you trust the most, fits you the best and most accurate for you" are rarely ever found in one gun, and may be assumed as much by someone who simply has not had exposure to a lot of different guns to know the difference, and assumed the 1 gun out of maybe a dozen they have tried or owned is assumed to fit all three conditions.

With that said, the 3 elements queried I find in 3 very different guns, or even multiple guns for any one condition, as follows:

The handgun you trust the most:
Glocks 19, 26, 22, 27, and really, just about any 1st Gen or 2nd Gen Glocks. Hands down. Glocks have been my "go to" gun since 1987 for several reasons and see range time, EVERY time, no matter what else goes to the range. The fit is good, the accuracy is also good, but these latter two traits don't deserve "best" and "most" qualifiers.

Fits you the best: Definitely NOT a single Glock made. That would be either any model Luger, whether a 1900 DWM American Eagle or a Swiss Bern, Commercial or Military, makes no difference; that grip angle is impossible to beat... it's just amazing. Or a Browning Hi-Power. SIG P210 is a close 2nd to the first two.

Most accurate for you: SIG P210, any number of 6" barrel (and up) Colt Pythons, Walther P88, Les Baer TRS, High Standard Supermatic Trophy, or a Colt Woodsman Match Target.

.

You bring up a very good point which shows how different people are. I for one have ONE handgun that works on all three aspects. But I am not surprised that this would be uncommon.

It can happen. And of all the guns I mentioned or that I know of throughout history that go unmentioned, I can very easily see how that would most likely and most often occur with a Glock.

My custom Commander .45 ACP built by King's Gunworks back in the 70s. I shot it a lot in our small club's action matches and got up to winning Class A several years running. Old school custom with S&W revolver rear sight and all King's parts - trigger, barrel, bushing, etc. Probably the most accurate centerfire handgun I own.

Ha ha, that's how I feel about my 10mm collection. I keep a 45acp by the nitestand. I might re-consider and just use one of my 2 lowly Glock 20s instead.

never owned a BHP, but I've handled some. Your right, I have a hard time trying to think of a better ergonomic handgun.

Choosing one is not possible for me. I shoot them all well and can get ridiculously small groups very quickly. This is because I focus upon fundamentals with a variety of guns (revolver, Glock, DA/SA, SAO, long and cruddy DA, etc). I attend training with every gun—I shoot a new one for awhile before going to class. My bias is toward any gun with one type of action. Glock, SIG DAK, revolvers fired DA, etc. I can reach into my safe and grab any centerfire gun for an emergency. It does not matter so long as I have sufficient ammo for it. If I happened to grab my 629, I would fight with that.

Currently it's a toss up between my G17 and M9.
