Default Springfield 1911 TRP in 10mm long slide $1842!

I just noticed this on their website. I wonder how long before we start seeing these in our great state.

Since it's unlikely that I'll see one of these anytime soon I'll probably just go with my original plan to convert either my own SA full rail 1911 TRP or SA 1911 Loaded by getting it fitted with this:

It just needs to go away period!
I was hoping for a full rail 10mm. I wonder if that's also in the works.

TRP 10mm with a bull barrel? OMG, I Want!

On that Fusion top end, is the barrel ramped? From the images I saw, it doesn't look to be. This would make it compatible with a 45 ACP 1911 frame. I'm guessing you would run the 10mm rounds thru a 9mm mag?

They have full gunsmithing services and can probably do anything you need done.

I think the 10mm would be fed out of 10mm mags

Haa, my magazine question definitely wasn't worded properly. The OD of the 9mm and 10mm are so close, I wonder if I could use my existing 9mm mags instead of buying new mags.

Thanks for that link. Fusion looks like they do good work.

Bad feed angle, if they would feed at all. 10mm 1911 mags are readily available.

redhemi clued us in with his awesome Fusion project post. I'm considering sending either my full rail TRP or 9mm Loaded for that 10mm project I called and spoke to one of their gunsmiths he said it would be easier to change the 9mm to 10mm because I won't need to change the ejector or slide stop; 45 to 10 will require these changes plus, of course, the 10 mm mags.

I think a full railed long slide 10mm would look nice and would anchor the gun for easier follow up shots so I'm actually leaning towards doing a 45 to 10mm conversion.

Check out the SA giveaway

https://www.perfect10mmgiveaway.com

I was pretty excited to sign up until I read that residents of New York, Florida, California and Rhode Island are ineligible to participate or win.

The word "operator" on the side makes me laugh. Why would anyone want one of these when you can buy a Glock 19 or 17 for 400$.

It says 'Operator' because your shots are dialed in.

A G40 would have been more appropriate model for rebuttal. Good luck getting those for $400.

I have a Springfield long beach operator and it shoots like a dream. I'm not a glock hater but these guns are outstanding

Hate that crap. I'm way too old & fat to be an "Expert" "Champion" "Tactical" "Operator."

Why do they do that? Rhetorical question... People will buy barb wire dildos if it says "Tactical" on it.

I have not yet done any work with them but have read many good reviews. Another Calgunner recently posted his completed project.

They have their own sub-forum under '1911 Manufacturers' over at 1911 Forum
