I would appreciate it if we can meet up so you can teach me what you know. I want to start reloading but don't know anyone that can help me.

+1

I have already started with buying some equipment. I was going to go with the online tutorials, I woudl rather speak to experience reloaders and see it through my own eyes.

please keep me in the loop, new reloader, will be 9mm for now. I have all my equipment and components and am anxious to get started. I'm in North County San Diego so anywhere somewhat close would be a bonus. I work Monday thru Friday at Palomar Medical center so could only do nights or weekends. THANKS.

Got a Dillon 650 with all the bells and whistles coming in this week and am green as all hell (minus several utube vids... yup that's it). I'm definitely in! Located Northbay but will travel. The guys at Bulleye showed me what a bad round can do to a GP100 yesterday. Yikes!

I saw CGSSA sticky threads for Sacto and various parts of SoCal. Did anything materialize for the Bay Area?

Will do. Hopefully, I get more traction than trying to pull bullets with my fingernails in a puddle of case lube.

Hi I am new to this sight and to reloading I am doing 223, 9mm, 38spl, 45acp, 30-30, right now and soon .308 and aac300 for my new builds I am a member at AK files and AR 15.com. as most of you know right now powder is a big problem to get every week I hit the 4 gun shops in town and seldom have any luck but the idea of a club sounds great.

Anyone in San Jose generous enough to mentor me? I bought a Hornady LnL AP two months ago. I'v been researching and reading manuals ever since. Time to start buying the stuff and get set up. Reloading is quite overwhelming.

Wow, how time flies. I saw this thread back in March but lost track due to work and car stuff, however, I would like to see if there's a Bay Area Reloader Club (BARC ?) organized. I've been reloading on and off since about 1977 or so. Most recently during July, I reloaded some 3600 rounds of 9mm for me and my nephew, along with some .45ACP and .223.

I'm an average reloader that can help with beginners but I'm no 'organizer' which is the crux of all clubs... a good leader is needed to not only start a club, but knows how to keep the interest level going so that it sticks. I wish I was that guy but I know better. I can contribute when I can if a club is started up in NorCal (specifically, SF Bay Area and/or Santa Clara).

I live in the SF Bay area ... South Bay, San Jose to be exact. I have been reloading for 3+ years now. I have learned a ton of stuff and have sent a ton of ammo down range. I would be very interested in joining a group, learning, and sharing what I know about reloading ... especially how to get started!

Count me in. Also, please send a message direct to me on this forum if you are interested in contacting me.

I am in the Modesto area(Denair to be exact) and am willing to help out anyone needing some help.
I have been reloading since I was a kid(1962) and am a former Ag teacher if that matters.
I have 2 Dillon 650's, 2 RCBS rockchuckers(only use one), a RCBS Jr and a Hornady press for 50bmg. I have most all the new and old stuff. I load for many cartridges.

I load accurate ammo but mostly load accurate hunting type ammo.

If you need some help PM me.---Take Care---Doug

I believe there should be an event scheduled in Riverside on the 27th of October. There is another thread on it. The IE clinic sticky actually...

IF there is anyone that is in Riverside or close by that has stuff and wants help getting started I could possibly help you out. Just depends on my schedule.

October 27th is a Sunday so I THOUGHT that was the day chosen for the next IE clinic. Anyways, I will be heading up that if it happens. If anyone has questions on their stuff you can always PM me as well. I have not been reloading for as long as others but I know the fundamentals, am certified, and have a LOT of experience hunting loads and data down. AND I like to have fun and stay safe. After that it is simply what flavor you make.

That is really sad. But the good news is now it is time for you to pull that press out of the box and set it up. There are bullets all over, powder all over and primers all over. What caliber you wanna reload? (please I hope it is not 7.5x55...)

I am going to hold a bit of a drawing. I have three extra Crossroads of the west gun show V.I.P. passes that expire on the 31st. If you would like to go and get in free then post and send a PM to me with a contact number so I may get a mailing address.
On Friday night I will draw two people from the names. First draw gets two passes second draw gets one. The Delmar show is scheduled on the 14th and 15th of December, Ventura and Reno both on the 21st and 22nd and Las Vegas on the 28th and 29th.

Here is the catch, you must have posted in one of the club threads prior to my offering them in this post. Making this open to any one one from any CGSSA reloading club chapter.

Oh. News tidbit. Reloading club members now get a 5% discount when ordering bullets from Missouri Bullet Company www.missouribullet.com. Contact your chapter lead for the discount code.

We can all thank Bumslie this.

Wishing you all a great Holiday season.

I did not take the time to read all 6 pages. However, if you have a use for a former commercial manufacturer, I owned a munitions corporation. Loaded in excess of 10 million rounds annually. I still have my hand in the business.

I would love to join y'all. Santa is bringing a Lee Classic Turret Kit and some trimmings and while I have read up on reloading it would be awesome to have some real people to learn with. Please let me know how this is progressing and when there may be a meeting? Thanks!
