California "FFL 03 Friendly" Ammunition Dealers starting 1/1/18

For 03-FFL friendly vendors like TargetsportsUSA - do I just upload a picture of a copy of my 03-FFL (signed and dated, is it necessary to sign and date?) along with my CA COE to my account and then just place as many orders I want to have shipped to my residence? They don't need my Driver's License?

Generally yes that's the process... I dont remember any sites I've used requiring a drivers license

I like OL a little better, but I have had a long history with Aim Surplus, so every other order, I get something to AIM.

I just bought from TargetSports, and their system is easy: Go to "My Account", then click on Compliance/Permits. Click the sections to upload your 03FFL and COE, and you're good to go. I ordered immediately.

For my MassAmmo order, they asked me to email them the documents.

FWIW, I signed and dated my FFL - I don't know if you need to for each of the vendors, but it seems like it's one less thing to go wrong.

I've never been asked to submit a D/L.

Extreme Reloading, Outdoor Limited, Lucky Gunner and Freedom have been awesome. I have submitted my paper work to Selway and have not heard back. Does anyone know if Selway is still shipping to 03FFL and COE?
I did find out that Midway is not shipping to 03FFL/COE.

I just received an order from Selway yesterday. As of now, they are shipping to 03/COE. Their standard answer is that they will ship to us but that may change in the future.

I just ordered from them. I don't see any issues arising but if someone goes astray I will update this post. I have ordered from them pre_2018 with good results. I have found their pricing to be very competitive on most ammo (meaning priced well).

I was in touch with a Rep. from Ammomart.com and was told even though their system will reject a California address they will ship to California. Email them for instructions.

I did not order through them as I decided against the product they had, nothing to do with the vendor.

Just made an order with Ammo Board using my 03 FFL and COE. Easy to work with and based on their website, seems it was created by the same owners of outdoor limited.

Just mentioning it since I didn't see it on the first page and probably should be added to the list since its a separate website.

Plus they offer free shipping for anybody interested.

Midway on the other hand won't get a nickel from me for anything, ammo or other products. Have two separate exemptions and they shut them both down after the order was made. Obviously I made the order with Midway before I found this thread. Lesson learned.

This is NOT the same as an 03FFL and a COE.
They are talking about 01 FFL's with Ammo Vendor Certificates.
That would be gun shops.

This thread is specifically about vendors that will ship to your HOME.

I contacted ammunition depot today regarding the FFL03 and COE purchase, and I got a negative answer saying they don’t recognize FFL03 license. Too bad, I was trying to get the total poly jacket ammo from them, for the price was attractive ($145 for 1000rds)

Thank you to the OP for maintaining this list of FFL 03 + CoE friendly vendors.

I'm currently in active email exchange with a vendor who has the specific ammo I'm looking for, yet vendor's current policy is to ship only to FFL 01s in CA.

Is there an authoritative, official online source which has this information regarding FFL 03 and CoE available in readable format? I would like to point the vendor to such information page and ask them to reconsider their policy with regards to shipping to CA.

Ammo Board seems to be top-notch so far ( just place my first order Monday and is in transit currently) I emailed the company Sunday after 5 p.m. local time in North Carolina and I got a response back within 45 minutes saying they received my paperwork for your email and I was good to go. I placed an order subsequent to that and received a follow up email saying they couldn't ship unless they had my paperwork. I replied back telling them I had sent it the day before and resubmit it just to make sure. received a very quick response and within four minutes of their response it was shipped out. The gentleman's name I believe who handles it for ammo board is David Gregory. I tried calling both numbers I had from them and got voicemails right away during business hours when there was an issue of my order being held up so I think email is the best to contact them. Just thought I'd share my experience with fellow Cal Gunners as their prices appear to be very reasonable and they offer free shipping. Assuming my package arrives with no damage which I believe it will since they probably pack as well as they are quick to respond, they will definitely be a go-to place for me.

Looks like just a COE if you want to buy ammo from a brick-and-mortar shop and only pay $1 for the eligibility check instead of the $19 background check each 30 days.

They were and still are having some crazy BOGO sales on 22WMR and some 22LR. I got CCI V-Max 22WMR for 7.2c per round after rebate and BOGO.
