You just missed the January shoot which took place last Friday. See below link:

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=519166

Typically, the Calguns Shoot is 2nd Friday of each month for OC chapter. On the other hand, from above link it seems it's getting more and more popular and have to make reservation ahead. Please frequent LA/OC/IE community chapter page for information regarding next shoot.

Typically it gets really crowded. It can get really dangerous with that many people inside the bay. Plus with the lack of RSO, that makes the situation worse.

Really, worse???

I thought that the CalGun folks do/did an excellant job of monitoring themselves and being "RSO's" the entire time they are on the range. In general they are safer than most of the "regular" customers we see come in here as groups.

It does get crowded and we are going to have to put a limit on it, but that is something to be determined with the CalGun leadership. We are not looking to restrict shooting to those that need a place to shoot.

It did get a bit crowded last year, and at the beginning of this year we have instituted a limit of 30 shooters in the bay which have gone to great lengths at addressing the overcrowding issue.

Myself and several other C3 volunteers are watching the shooters and work with the OnTarget staff as RSOs. If you saw something that you think poses a safety issue, speak up. Myself and Rekrab have contacted shooters as needed and will continue doing so.

You may want to check the threads detailing the monthly shoot in the OC/LA/IE section as it does specifically call out each and individual CalGunner (and their guests) being safe as a primary focus.
