This is a serial matching Enfield. This was made early enough before the transition to the III*, magazine cutoff is present, though the volley sights are gone. The magazine, nose cap, bolt, receiver, and barrel match. The wood has old repairs just forward of the wrist and at the back of the stock, the fingers have been cut off the forward handguard around the sight base long ago, and the brass disc spot was plugged. The metal is ok, there's wear and surface frost in spots. The noseguard however has heavier pitting, you can barely read the serial. The bore is dark, I cleaned it some but it didn't improve much. I have not fired this, the muzzle end is quite worn. I don't have gauges, the bolt chambers a dummy round fine and locks tight, trigger pull is good. I don't see an import mark anywhere. 03FFL welcome or meet at a north county FFL. Ship to 01 or 03.
