Of course, a Grand Reopening Calguns Special wouldn't be hard to look at either.....

Just picked my lower I had done here. Nothing but good things to say about them. Professional, polite, not opinionated, answered all my questions and some.

Thanks for the awesome job Matt.
will be back to get my 308 done like we discussed.

Post Red, White & Blue Lighweight AR

it was a weird journey... initially I was after a lightweight AR (trying to get as light or lighter than previous 4lb, 7.5oz with poly lower)...

had a completed 80%-100% lower skeletonized - but it wasn't as light as I had hoped, and I wasn't real fond of the lattice look (even though it was incredibly detailed and cool, it wasn't what I was after)... So I asked them to cut as much material as possible... the end result was a bit lighter, but still had some lattice in critical areas of structural integrity...

Making the best of what I had, I came up with the idea of an American Flag "theme" without actually painting the flag... the idea was to have the holes in lattice resemble stars on flag... exterior blue, interior white... the rest is self explanatory (pics)... ended up at 5 lbs, .5 (half) oz...

As always, OCCC did an awesome Cerakote job!

Short of running it over with my truck, I tried to crush it - and it won't...

There's no stress at the mag well... Critical areas are plenty secure....

I'm curious how it will hold up. Not bad on the lower. That's a lot of material taken off

It's definitely a novelty gun - and I have no doubt it will hold up to the light range work it's intended for...

Most of my defense guns (that will take a beating) are black and not fancy.

Default Not going back

After reading all the positive reviews I figured I would try OCCC. I had an issue after I got my new rifle back from being coated(Surgeon action/Krieger barrel) . I figured out after going to the range they left sand from the blasting process in the ejector so it wouldn't chamber a round. I wasn't impressed with how they handled my issue and wasted range trip. Friendly staff isn't so friendly after you have a problem. Unfortunately, after my experience I will not be using them again.

Z98, This is Paul the owner of OC Custom. I am very sorry to hear that you had an issue and I apologize for the inconvenience. We work very hard to ensure that any firearm that leaves our shop is flawless with the coating and functioning properly. I have already had a meeting with my armorer and prep team regarding this to ensure we don't have this issue again.

I know our shop manager offered to fully correct the issue for you and to give you a credit toward any future work. I'm sorry to hear that you did not feel that was sufficient and that our staff was wasn't friendly. I will contact you directly and see if I can help resolve the issue.

Evening, I'm looking for someone who does anodizing and see you dabble in several types of coatings.

A few of us are looking to get our Cz 75 tactical sports grips orange and i know plenty of others that would jump on the chance to make it happen.

Thank you for your time.

Hey SoCalGunny, our shop does not offer anodizing but we do offer Cerakote which is a ceramic based coating. We can match up the Cerakote to anodizing if you are looking to match up parts. We coat for many firearm and parts manufacturers who prefer Cerakote over anodizing. Feel free to call or come by our shop and we discuss some of the pros and cons. Thanks #714-202-7552

if you're really inquiring about turnaround and such, you should PM or call them. they're busy enough.
