It's more of utility/pocket knife then a weapon, you would have to be pretty desperate to even consider it for self defense.
I carry it mostly when hiking.

This is what I'll admit to:

When I was repoing I doubled up on cell phones too. One is none and all that. One time I counted how many flashlights I had with me in the vehicle, and from the keychain through the glove box it came up to seven. Counting the Leatherman but not counting the sharpened Cold Steel shovel, the slicey-stabby stuff count was six.

The watch is my first post-employment one, so I didn't need nuclear numbers or metal construction. It was cheap, came with the ninja pen for under $20. One thing I insist on is a watch strap that won't let the watch go when one of the pins disengages, had this one laying around. Still getting used to carrying the heavy metal, two-handed pen, and sometimes I just have to use a gel pen.

I really don't like liner or frame lock knives due to their tendency to try and chop my fingers off when I try to use them, but I got the CRKT hoping it's colors and features would let me sneak past the "Buck-type" knife only regs at my last job. I think of it as a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker with a somewhat useful knife blade attached.

Seemed silly to include a wallet, but I thought it warranted inclusion cuz it's one that blocks the RF stuff. At least that's what the guy who sold me the magic beans said. Don't smoke, but have matches in the wallet and lighters in the bag and glove box.

Yes, I did 'shop out the biting on my keys.

The law doesn't care about your opinion as to it's usefulness. Carried exposed? It's been a while since I looked it up, but it used to be that fixed blades had to be both exposed and carried in a sheath on the belt.

Still a good, reliable gun. I've shot a buddy's CW45, I actually liked it. It won't replace my beloved Sig's, but definitely one I would use as hideout gun/ glovebox gun.

Yeah, its not much to look at, but gets the job done.

Picked it because it was smaller and lighter than the Shield and XD Essential.

Meh, I happen to like the way the look; simple 2-tone with matching color for trigger and slide stop; classes it up a little bit. Kinda like a 2-tone Glock. Whatever fits your needs.

Curious, how do you EDC that heavy beast? It looks like you have a belt holster in the top of the frame for it? Do you tighten your belt until you have just a little bit of blood flowing to your legs?

This is a serious question... My wallet, phone and keys alone are enough to make my pants fall down with a belt unless I really tighten it. When I carry my shield, I have to tighten my belt to keep my pant from falling. I don't have much of a butt... lol.

I always figured if I wanted to carry a full size 1911, I would go with a nice leather shoulder rig.

Thoughts? Tips?

This my EDC. The size of an I.D Card that stays inside my wallet. Can go through security scanner or check points. Made it inside a small curt House. My pistol is the Glock 29, Cz 75 P01, and Beretta M9A1 INOX. NO Pic at the moment.

A couple things come to mind now seeing this resurrected thread.

1. I question not carrying spare ammo on me
2. WTH is up with photobucket
