Hey guys - I like KAC stuff very much, and yes my SR15E3 upper is very cool, but you do realize KAC are jerks to us, don't care a shake of lamb's tail about CA, and think nothing of helping us out? Not to mention it's just a tad over priced?

I agree that KAC's attitude towards CA is pretty lousy and counterproductive in terms of running a business (especially CA and how much $$ is eagerly awaiting to spent here), but don't they have a pretty bad snobby attitude toward their entire commercial market? They don't just treat CA badly, in fact my buddies in free states don't have the greatest regard for their customer service either. From what I gathered they pride themselves in their LE/Military contracts and only see commercial sales as icing on the cake. I don't let it bother me because quite frankly, I've encountered bad attitudes in almost every facet of this hobby (its a hobby for me as I don't use these weapons/skills to make a living) and I have realized that it just comes with the territory. As far as things being overpriced, that's arguable considering the SR15 is a bargain (if you find a decent price for it) because of all the features it includes, like the E3 bolt and better gas system and the awesome buis and urx rail. My triple tap was very expensive, but I havnt found anything else like it on the market (can't wait to take it to my magpul class next year). Price point is relative for most people.

I think KAC's issue with CA is that the KAC rail (RAS) is listed as an AW

Didn't see this thread until now, I'm really glad you were happy with it, I wouldn't have known what else to do with it so it worked out for both of us.

I'm a big fan of KAC stuff, but all I have is some accessories, and they've all been stripped and put in the safe in preparation for selling the rifle off. You guys have some awesome rifles though, thanks for sharing.

I have their holsters and have nothing but good to say about em. Only thing is there's a long wait to get em. Expect to wait 2+ months. If you're not in a hurry, awesome holsters for both IWB and OWB carry. Despite the long wait, their customer service is good. I made a mistake and forgot to mention that I had a LaserMax on my Glock and the holster would turn on my laser. It was my mistake and I told them and they fixed it for free.

They only need the single shot magazine for the DROS to make them roster exempt once you take possesion you can use ten round magazines.

Added an important point. You have to use a bullet button/non-detachable 10 round mag on pistol builds.

What if I buy say the PSD pistol from Riflegear? Afterwards when I take it home, can I use it with 10 round magazines too? Instead of building?

Cause this has been a deciding factor for me, and I really want the PSD but am stuck if I want to wait till I move out of CA this sept/oct to get it. But if I want to practice with it, I'd hate to be stuck using single round magazines

But if I can legally use 10 rounders, than I am a happy girl !

Just like on other rifles, you guys just made my day! I cant wait till I can fly down to So Cal to get my pistol

Do you guys know if I can remove the sling and just have the stub there, and if I can install say a Midwest Industries Sling End Plate Adapter and a swivel on the rail and use instead of the end butt sling?

I just want to keep it legal, but still have a more easily handled item

EDIT::: anyone suggest optics for in home defense/range use? Whats he using in the picture? Aimpoint?

Well I'd like 30 round capacity magazines, build my cars and bikes, and enjoy them without the harassment level I've had here in cali lol. And I like alot of my friends who are also women, want and enjoy fire arm related activities we can't enjoy here lol. I have about 15 other friends who are interested in the PSD as well are moving out of cali sometime as well within the next 6 months, so its no big deal.

Alot of stupid laws/rules.
I heard one guy at a big 5 sporting goods say hes glad rifles aren't allowed to have 30 round magazines, cause bad people will exploit the larger capacity. Heh, yah....right. Like if they wanted, they really couldnt do as such right now? lol. While someone like me who is law abiding, pays taxes, and volunteers at out reach and abuse centers, is really bad right? All 88 pounds of me right? lol.

Maybe my make up or that I have boobs, or something makes me dangerous lol. I like the smaller pistols cause they are much easier for me to hold and handle. I'm not as big or strong as most of you guys are lol.

30 is better than 10, but if in CA still and the PSD pistol is a viable option than 10 rounds is better than 1. If its legal.

yea, it is dros'd as a single shot, but with a mag lock it can be used with a 10 round mag.

Thanks!!! ^__^ Sorry for all the q's guys but really was on the fence about this. I guess I'll just make the purchase when I am down there, and PAC, your photo gave me the push thanks!

Do you happen to have a pic, with a view through your aimpoint?

Got it from CDNN for 240 bucks. Pretty good deal because everywhere else on the Internet, it was going for nearly 400..
