Default This years calgunners special rate hunt

Its been a year already and I definitely have a lot of calgunners to thank for a successful first year for my guide business. Ive been able to meet quite a few people on here and have made a few friends in the process. Thanks to everyone who decided to go with a no namer for a hog hunt. I didnt get hogs for all but I guess I got enough to be recommended by many on this forum. Thanks.

So last year I did a single day group hunt thing that kinda worked and kinda didnt. The single day hunt turned out to be a marathon. This year I thought I would switch it up a little, slow it down and make it a weekend rather than a single day.

This years hunt will be a full weekend for 5-6 hunters of what ever group you put together. Friday evening through sunday morning. We will be camping at the ranch unless you wanna stay at a motel. Trailers welcome unless its too muddy (electrical hookups only). Lunch and dinner will be provided.... BYOB.

This hunt will be for WHATEVER SPECIES THE GROUP DECIDES. You can hunt anything in season as long as everyone hunts the same thing at the same time. My ranch isnt enormous so I dont want people shooting quail for instance while others are making a quiet stand while rifle hunting for hogs. The hunts will be semi guided. I will post hunters up in groups or areas and I will go back and forth between the groups.

The rate for the whole weekend will be 250 per person (compare to bryson hisperia at 200 per day + fees). That includes food and everything else that goes with a guided hunt. There will be no added charge for any gutting, packing, skinning or breaking down the game for the cooler.

These hunts will take place before the end of march and subject availability, be postponed or canceled due to weather. A 25% deposit is required to hold the date. Ca hunting licence, applicable tags and condor zone ammo are required.

Thats it. If I forgot something please feel free to give me a call or post below.

I'm very interested. is it only for certain people? When will the next be organized? What kind of big game is on your land? will it be next hunting season or will this be for hogs if we're going big game?

I think most of this was already included in the original post. Just off the top of my head....between now (Dec. 2nd) and the end of March....the animals that are in season would be:

Coyotes, Pigs, Bear, Dove, Quail, Pheasant, Crow, Squirrel, Raccoon, and Rabbit.

This is what people would have to choose from. I'm sure that I may have missed a few, but you get the idea. Of course, bigboarstopper didn't mention what type of game the land holds yet, so that could make a big difference.

I'm interested, but could probably only get a few people together. If you need an extra man, count me in after the 1st of the new year. Thanks for posting up your offer- sounds great!

If you'll clean and prep the pig for my cooler I would love to come for a pig hunt. I would be solo as well. This would be my first non-bird hunt and would love to join in.

Wow really you want him to prep it for you that's half the fun being a hunter.
do you want him to hold your wee while you go potty to??

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

If he is offering that service I will take it as long as I don't shoot with you. But thanks for being such a nice person with your friendly post.

If there are any 2 legged sows on the ranch, weenie holding is available for a small fee.

Can I come and rent out a few two legged sow weenie holders that weekend? Would I need to kickback a portion of the proceeds?

Check me in for a group too if you're down a man. I have a self-contained camper for my truck I can bring also.

this is a smokin deal. You solo hunters should start a thread and try to get a group together, set a date, set it in stone before this deal goes away.

2x. For those of you who haven't done a semi guided or tresspass fee hunt before this is great. I also second starting your own group up with each other thread so things are more organized.
