Default Beavertail on xd?

I seen a picture here, and a couple on some other sites. I jailed an xd today, and would like to add a beavertail on it. I'm a m&p guy, but the xd is all I could find Any leads?

Sorry for my ignorance. I thought that was what it was called. You know how the 1911 has that extension where your hand would be? The m&p has one as well. I could have swore it was a dovetail.

My question to you is WHY? The "bore axis" on the XD is already high enough. It will be a lot higher if you add the beavertail to it.

Shot one at the range, it felt better than stock for me. I wasn't interested in xd's at the time (I'm still not but they were out of everything else) so I didn't bother asking.

I'd really suggest taking a hard look at an M&P or a Glock. Much better designs.

Most the XD beavertails are complete grip jobs. Robar is the well known one for it in the XD world.

No but its pronounced 'ecks' which is preceded with 'an' as its a vowel sound.

At least thats the reason behind "an x-ray" vs "a x-ray".

Shoot it for a while and see if you really miss the beavertail. Heck, I took the beavertail OFF my M&P45. It kept poking my in the ribs when I sat down.
