I spoke with woody, another build party host, and he as well is looking to have a build party. It would be held around 2 weeks after mine. He is located in Santa Rosa. This will help those of you in that area, cannot make the date of mine, or if you just have more to build! Details should be up shortly or posted on the thread by woody himself. I just ask that if you have specific questions pertaining to build needs in Santa Rosa to please contact him rather than redirect the intentions of this orig. post. Thanks- Alex

From Woody:

Back to back build partys. I'd like to host an AK build party in Santa Rosa. I talk with Alex and am planning on host 1 or 2 weeks afters his BP. I was thinking this would give two location to choose from & or a place to finish up work if you didn't complete your build. As of today the 13,14,27 &28 are open dates for me. I will pick a date based on when and after Alex is having his.
Thanks Woodey

North vs South BPs? Hmmmmmmmm.
I might be able to go. Mostly to eat and help, especially since the south is challenging us. Need details of your challenge, 69Mach1. What's at stake?

Interested but can't afford it currently. Once I can afford a nice 74 underfold kit of some flavor I will attend the next one.

BTW what is the going rate on a 74 underfolding kit?

EDIT: OK side a side or under, either is good for me at this point.....

For a side-folding 74 (Romy, Polish, Bulgy, etc.), expect to pay from $280-$450.

By all means join in. However, I am holding space priority to those that will be building. Best bet is to buy an ak parts kit(do a little research first), your receiver flat and compliance parts(from duraglock), and the rest is here.

Count me in. Need to finish the build I started at Duraglock's party. I'd definitely prefer mid March.

How much is the building fee going to be?

Ive discussed the fees with woody, who is going to be hosting a bp a week or two after mine , and I'm pretty sure the fees will be 30 for builders 12 for spectators(accompanied with a builder) this includes food and drink. the price will be the same at either event.

Tn- you should get your friend to sign up!

This time I will come. I need to press out the barrel pin and the barrel. Hopefully somebody can weld the rails for me. I prefer a spot in the morning.
