Default Just saw this new body armor.

I don’t care if it’s a dupe.

Point blank with a 9mm+p and it left a little bruise.

In before all the moron copycats shoot themselves...VERY irresponsible marketing IMHO. Looks like level 2A kevlar sewn into a jacket...nothing unusual. A supple outer jacket was hiding the stiff kevlar inner jacket/liner. I wouldnt want to take a round to exact center mass in the zippers.

(kinda half expected to see a telephone book in there... )

Hmmm, this is something I would buy... but for that kind of dough I would need some warranty regarding size.

I’d want to be able to exchange it if its too big or small

looks like a good thing to have, I might buy one myself, looks like something a body guard / security might need.

a business owner could also use one of these in case of armed robbery for a little extra protection

He either has big balls or a small brain. Maybe both.

For years, you can purchase custom suits with Kevlar from savile road tailors.

They have 30 day exchange policy for sizing. I was just looking at that jacket. Not bad for 324$. About the same price as Patagonia and North Face.

I saw jackets like that at Cow Palace gun shows in the 90's. Not exactly new.

I saw this on a different Gun forum, and I will say the same thing here as I said there, I don't think I could pull the trigger, it goes against everything in my instincts, as well as my training to pull the trigger on yourself.

However, he is not the first person to do that to provide confidence in their product. Hell I can't remember the company they did the very same thing except with a 308 rifle round.

You all are young

Point blank did that when the world was still in black and white

No one had body armor as it was not invnted yet

He shot himself and then shot bowling pins to show you could take rounds and stay in the fight

Second Chance did it first.

Rich Davis started in 1971.

He had issues though.......

That is the dumbest things I have seen in a long time. From a hit like that you can have ruptured intestine, bruised or broken rib or a number of things. I wonder how many people will try this and end up dead.

There is, of course, overlap at the zippers. Impressive they did it, but stupid.
