I use the Maxpedition compact range bag to bring 2 pistols at most to the range that holds 250 rounds of ammo, shooting glasses, ear muffs, extra magazines, reactive targets, dummy rounds, small sharpie, interchangeable phillips/flathead screwdriver, & membership card. It is pricey though and a 5.11 tactical is a cheaper alternative.

I got a single gun bag when I joined the Glock club. I just throw that into my Harbor Freight range bag (they sell as a tool bag). It holds the single gun in its bag, and the tool bag holds the earmuffs/ glasses/ magazines (inside even has five pouches on one side for single mags and three bigger pouches on the other side that hold three mags) and other stuff.

This is what I use when I take 1 to 2 guns to the range. It’s also a nice bugout/response bag.

The wife and I each have one of these Voodoo Tactical pistol cases. Not too expensive (not too cheap either). Locking case so it meets the transportation requirement of being in a locked container. Doesn't scream "GUN" to everyone around. I usually bring ammo in a separate soft-case bag (not big enough for the gun too and doesn't have a locking capability) which I also throw in my brass.

https://www.voodootactical.net/shoot...compliant.html

Nice, lightweight and easy to transport.

Favorite single pistol bag: https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Nylon-P...roductinfo/146

When I go to indoor ranges, I transport each gun in one of these. External mag pockets, 2 large zippered compartments in the bag for a rag, ammo, more mags and other stuff (not big enough for electronic ear pro). There was a sale a while back so I picked up a few. The big appeal to me are the external mag pockets, and this particular one houses 7 in a velcro enclosure.

The best idea for a "Competition bag" I've ever seen was at a Burro Canyon GSSF competition: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-17...AN13/204703616

Each side (small) pocket can accommodate a glock mag, each north/south (large) pocket can fit two mags each. In the center you can fit your miscellaneous stuff (eye pro, ear pro, targets, etc.) and either your hard factory or soft pistol cases and use a cable lock to secure it to the handle. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg like those GPS cases/totes.

I use this every time I go shooting in the desert. It is my bug out bag if I need to abandon my vehicle. I keep most of my ammo in my car but this bag will hold 2 pairs of ears, 6 or 7 loaded rifle and pistol mags (including 40 round pmags) mag loaders, walkie talkies, and an extra box or 2 of ammo.

I also use it when I just want to go to the local indoor range to test a gun out or to one of the shooting spots near my house.

Laptop bag. Small yet big enough for everything you need. Plus its incognito enough to not have people give you a second glance, thinking, "oh, that dude's carrying a laptop."

small airplane carry-on type suit case works for me.
doesn't advertise i'm range bound or disclose how many pistols I actually am carrying.

I just saw a mini one that would do what the OP wants. Saw it at the OC Gun show for $15. I was tempted, but I never go to the range with just one gun.

How about this one at Midway. Looks good, especially for the price:

Look on ebay - lots of $10 bags that will do the job. I use an old laptop bag. It's also hotel friendly.

"The reason we are not shipping to CA is because of Proposition 65. CA has too many restrictions as to what can and can not shipped into the state, that Rural King has decided to not ship anything into the state."

My buddy just uses a 1/2 size Case Logic CD case w/ the sleeves emptied out. He uses ear buds so that ends up keeping the footprint pretty small

A lot of people have said this but they are probably unfortunate to have a range close to them that doesnt cost a lot to shoot.

For me, there is a private indoor range within a 10 minute drive that costs $5 for as long as I need. It will be $2 when I finnaly become a member after 3 years of being on the waitlist to join.

So its worth it for me to go to the range and shoot one gun if i only have an hour or two free to do what I need to do and leave.

Before discovering this club it was an hour drive to any range and is always bring 4-6 guns with me. So i only had a large range bag that carried everything I needed.

Plus Im learning to improve my handgun shooting as I just finnaly realized what it means to jerk the trigger. Every handgun instructor tells me bring only one gun when you want to get better so I can focus on learning and not adapting to each gun while trying to learn.

In which case alls I need is eye and ear protection, gun, mags, ammo. I usually bring oil too. The basic tools everyone talks about gets brought with me everywhere in the trunk of my car. My large range bag ha an extra set of Allen keys and pliers

I have two that are perfect for 1 gun and accessories.

The first one I got from Beretta and it’s lockable and well made.

The second one is a flimsy one I got from Cabelas for 15 bucks but the zipper is lockable and it’s perfect size for for 1 gun and accessories.

Look at Cabelas or Bass pro. Several options.

Cabelas and Bass Pro sells a nice bag little bag for $13.

It should be good enough for what you want.

For a one gun trip:

150 rounds, ear plugs, glasses and a handgun. Simple.

Think there are plenty of bags or cases that fit the bill. I use a 5.11 Tactical Large Tool Bag or GP bag for just about 9 years now. Its compact and fits plenty of ammo ad handguns as well.
I do carry about 2 pistols in pistol pouches, about 200-300 rounds of ammo, small cleaning kit, gloves, eye & ear protection, staple gun. Fits with just enough room for maybe few mags or other items.

I actually tried to get away from doing this. I found I was collecting more trash in the bag than gear. Instead I use the following.

1. Airport safe QuickFire Cases Hardcase which stores two guns and can be left in the back of my SUV if I want.
2. SureFire reusable earplugs that I keep in every gun case I own so I always have ear protection regardless of which case I grab.
3. Two sets of ballistic sunglasses in my car, so even if I walk off with a pair I always have "eyes" in the car.
4. Ammo cans separated by caliber filled with loaded spare magazines that have big labels on them showing their caliber.
5. For classes I do have go bags with holster rigs for each gun with big bold tags on them telling me which gun they are for. These include spare magazines, etc. So they are kinda like range bags, but focused more on the gear most ranges don't allow.

Note: For my rifles I have a couple 5.11 Covrt backpack style bags setup much the same. With ears, extra mags, slings, paperwork and booklets on the optics settings, etc. I do not yet have an airline safe rifle or shotgun case. But will get one at some point. I have a backpack style gun for my shotgun from Bulldog, but it screams "gun" unlike the 5.11 bags. It is setup much the same with ears, lots of shells, a sling and so on.

Basically I wanted them transport ready, with a hint of SHTF. My guns are stored in the safe. But the bags and cases are all nearby and labelled for which gun or what type of gun they are setup for so I know which one to grab when needed. All my prep-work is pre-done. After each range trip, I clean the ears, and reload the spare magazines, and put the bag or case in the closet to await the next trip. I find this keeps me organized and storing a lot less empty ammo boxes and trash. It comes in especially handy for road trips where range trips or classes are expected at the destination.

It should be good enough for what you want.

I have some of those, but I store mags in them. They hold stuff but they are really thin, thin material, no padding, FWIW. Can't beat them for $10 or less - what I paid. My old fishing bag was similar style but way thicker material, but they are light. Something like Terminator or Cabelas two-gun case are 10x more rugged. Yeah that one-gun Pelican seems like a deal to me... $50, I'd use rewards $$ and discounts to get it for $30 or less, but seems like a great deal for that brand.

Don't forget LAPG... I stay away from their clothes, but the bags are great.

OP could use the $13.99 pistol bag.. or larger one for $19.99

Less padding but stiff hook and loop divider panels, Bug out bag...

Looks like the big bag is only $25 now... great bag, easily holds a couple guns and all cleaning gear, tools, ammo, ears, etc... not a ton of padding but serious material, zippers.

ooops, nah the jumbo bag is still $35

lol, I recently switched to a guitar case, to keep from rustling any nosy antigun neighbors jimmies. Bought a cheapo guitar case, some foam and felt.

I got one of those one gun soft cases from Wilson when I got one of their "Professional" models. I like it for the extra pockets for seven magazines, but I hardly ever take it to the range.
