FFL03 approval time frame?
I have just received the email from CADOJ saying my COE has been approved, and I have only waited 10 days including weekend. However, I haven't heard anything back from my FFL03 application, so I am wondering what the general time to get approved? ( they have charged my credit card).

Submitting all my paperwork this week for CoE & 03FFL. Now I just hope it doesn't take out of state ammo retailers too long to accept the exemption.

Not really. Mine took a little longer early this year.

Mine took about two months plus, but it was because I goofed on the forms and had to correct the mistake. It was a renewal and I received it yesterday.
Sent from the Telegraph Office.

I just called the ATF this morning, and they told me it's currently about a 60 day wait for a new FFL03, which confirms what most on here are saying.
Mine should be ready early January

may not be apples to apples, sent 03 change of address 2 weeks ago, new license issued and delivered "inside of 10 days". CA to TN transfer. Im impressed. Guys in WV are kicking butt at license office. Last renewal I did wasn't that fast and its the same or less work/processing. This was really quick processing. AS well last few convo's Ive had in CA and TN had really great agents to speak with. Actually were POSITIVE on license issue and pushing me to keep it and not dump it.
Anyway.... faster than 10 year ago!!!

Sent the 03 in on 10/12 and did Livescan/mailed COE on 10/25. It took 6 weeks for COE and 63 days for FFL to arrive.

Mailed the 03FFL application on 12/18
Did the Livescan and COE online application today, 12/22. Wish I took a picture of the ATI number as the guy's handwriting wasn't so good. Tough to tell if it was a 6 or a letter G or a zero or a letter O. Fingers crossed. |

I just renewed my COE. I received a letter informing me my COE expires in February. They have an online renewal option. It only took 7 days to get the renewal.

OK perfect - my ATI # was exactly that sequence, and the 3 letters was the first two letters of the last name and the first letter of my first name.

I spent half an hour trying to get the online renewal to work. Kept putting me in dead ends and no way to back out. Had to close the window and log back on. At one point it says if you're going to change your name, must provide birth certificate, never changed anything at all. Finally I said, "By Golly, To Heck With This" and mailed it in. Might be my off-brand computer or maybe because I'm old now.

I just logged on to CFARS and noticed that my COE was available already. Submitted electronically yesterday 12/22 afternoon around 2pm and it showed up on my CFARS account this morning 12/23!
I guess it's almost instantaneous. |

Just sit tight, if there were problems you probably would have received a letter by now. Within weeks it will come in the mail.

I have a question regarding the New Permit COE Fee is it the 22.00?
On the instruction sheet, it lists the renewal fee being 22.00 but it does not say if that is the same amount for a NEW Application. And special thanks to Calliberal for posting all those links. |
