Can you beat my bullet pricing
Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering who buys bullets for cheaper than I do. I have never seen 9mm cheaper then Montana Gold's 1 case. But I know for 45, there are a lot cheaper prices out there. I don't care if its lead, plated or fmj, I just want to see what companies are cheaper than what I pay.... Thanks
Please no casting and OTD (shipped) prices only Montana Gold 1 case of 115gr FMJ 9mm @ $305 per 4000 bullets ($76.25 per 1k) Precision Delta 2k of 230gr FMJ 45 @ $260 ($130 per 1k) or $135 if you only buy 1k

The last 9mm bullets I bought was a 500 count box of Bear Creek for $15 at the now closed Reloading Center in the SFV. So, after tax, it was just under $16.50/500 OTD.
Edit: I just remembered that I bought 3K of 9mm frangibles from Midway a few months ago. I think they were around $70/K delivered.

My buddies and I get wholesale prices with Xtreme. We split the freight and prices are per 1000.
9mm 115gr- $55 40 155gr-$70 45 200gr-$90 223 55gr-$70 There are guys on here that say they pay the same price for fmj as plated. I guarantee that nobody here is paying these prices on regular production fmj's. |

Also, I can't seem to find the .223 55g bullets on their site? Is this a new product?

I load almost exclusively this bullet in my .45 Auto: http://shop.snscasting.com/45-ACP-20...-45-200SWC.htm
I don't load a lot of 9mm anymore, but when I do it is PD 124gr JHP's, mainly because a case of MG is too many to keep "in stock".

Hey darksoul, you have to buy in at least 25k lots. You would be surprised how easy it is to get that much. They had 223 on their website awhile back, but I heard that their machine is down. I don't know if that is true. I hope they start making 223 again. It isn't plated, it's fmj. Looks alot like Hornady's fmj. Real consistant weight.

MG 124 JHP is my favorite and old standby for the last 1-2 years.
I picked up 2k frangibles at midway for $100 a while back. $50 per K. I wish I would have bought 20k. They run as well as MG's and don't send shrapnel back at me when shooting steel. I might try bear creek again at $57 per K for 125tc from an RO near my house. The group buy on xtreme sounds like an awesome deal.

M has, since the Roman Empire, meant 1000 (see mille).
However, just to confuse things, someone decided about 30 years ago to also use M to stand for million (see computer industry), so "k" has become the new shorthand for 1000. Anyone know of the cheapest place for .45 ACP 200 or 230 gr JHP?
The Hydrashocks from RMR is tempting but they're 185 gr...

If you are casting 45/70's or shotgun slugs at 500 grains a pop you get 14 per pound (dollar), or 7.1 cents each. $71 per thousand. That's for a 500 grain bullet. If you are shooting 250 grain bullets, that's half cost. $35 per thousand. If you are shooting 100 grain bullets, that's even less. approaching 12 bucks per thousand or so. Not factoring your time to cast. |
