That is the irony of the 2A in California, the dummies in Sacramento pass more restrictive laws and we respond by buying more guns!

We'll all be lining up to buy the latest tactical bolt action rifle in a few years in response to yet another infringement on our rights but hey, at least it will probably take Glock Mags!

Already happened years ago. I present to you exhibit A: the Mossberg MVP, takes AR15 mags.

I'll be lining up for a sporter style semiauto that takes AR, AK, SR25 mags. Once someone figures out they can compete with the fightlite SCR on a way lower price point. And there is a huge void left from the embargo on Saiga sporters.

Uncanny how true that is over the past ten years or more especially. So many guns sold because of their BS. Should make them weep with succulent emotion if they were not so pitifully ignorant.

Well I see two rows of witness holes on all those, so it depends on what you consider "hi-caps".

Pretty sure this is a pic that's been circulating the net for ages though.

The SCR is good, and so is the Kel-Tec RDB-C.

My local store said I could put some cash down on one for when they recieve them. They were going to sell them for $509, didn't think that was too bad. Cheaper than turners and id rather not go there.
I'm happy to have waited for something like this to come out. Going to pair it with my g19 and hopefully find a good compact backpack for an "urban discreet setup" and also throw it in my rei pack for hiking in the hills to plink

This time frame falls in line with the mid february Turners have been quoting.
They have been trickling into the state already and it is only a matter of time when the large shipments arrive.

Picked it up this afternoon. Not in CA, obv.

Initially it was heavier than I expected. Probably because it looks like a 10/22 sizewise, and I still have memories of my Marlin Camp Carbine. The ghost ring is way forward like a Scout Rifle, and if I could see worth a damn I would really like it. The stock plastic feels pretty good, not super cheap and flimsy. It has "checkering" that feels like skateboard tape. The trigger is not real heavy, with almost no creep.

Things I don't like - the cheek height on the stock lines up real well with the irons, but will be low with an optic. Thankfully it's not a heavy recoil caliber and I won't be taking long shots. The mag release is sticky and doesn't move very far. I haven't put in the Glock insert yet to see how bad it sticks. It comes with the mag release on the left side to use mags with right side cutouts, so that's just right. Not a fan of the bolt handle, which sticks out too far, and is metal. I sort of expected one in plastic that rolls.

I don't think the standard IPSC/3 gun rifle hold will work well because the barrel is "high" wrt the receiver compared to an AR. If you wrap your thumb around the top of the barrel, you'll probably see your thumb in the red dot. The forend is also on the short side. Hopefully the aftermarket will fix that.

It will be awhile before I can shoot it. My next few weekends are spoken for.

Thanks for the breakdown, any chance someone can measure lengths on the barrel/receiver taken down?
