Default NON-CA (Sorry): Factory CZ Scorpion magazines $15-13.5. Hope for CA (read)

https://shop.cz-usa.com/cz-products/...stol/magazines

$13.5 for 20 rounders

Enter SCORP25 as promotion code during checkout. Code good until 6/1/18

I read the title. I donít understand why a post that doesnít apply to the majority of members on this site is listed here. I guess it is a free country and I am turning into a grumpy old man that my wife warned about. Haha.

Anybody know ordering tips for out-of-state delivery?

If I want to order and have some 30-rd. mags sent to my mother's house in Vegas, could I enter the account/credit card under MY Cali name/address and have the mags shipped to Vegas?

Or would I have to have my mother order with an account/credit card under HER name and Vegas address?

It's all up to the vendor. Some will let you use a CA billing address as long as you have an out of state shipping address, some are sticklers and will not let you buy anything if you have a CA billing address.

Nice having a Mom in Vegas. Does she have a CCW? Save on background check fees

I have a Cali CCW.....damn, they waive the background check for CCW residents of other states?

Yeah, she's in Vegas and I would've hit her up for some off-roster intrafamilial transfers....but she's 89 yrs. old

I've had vendors like Apex give me **** and not want to ship but places like MidwayUSA and Magcommander have no problem shipping to my out of state address.

No, I'm afraid just for NV CCW holders. But a background check only takes a few minutes and $25.

Not to be morbid, but you better get your ducks in a row. She has to be able to buy that gun and pick it up herself. I'd suggest you go to Davidson's Gun Genie and point to her what your next birthday present ideally would be, and, if she agrees you're a deserving son, have it transferred to a local LGS for her to buy it there and then. She has to fill out the 4473, just like in Cali.

Yeah, I've thought of that....but she has absolutely no knowledge of guns and it might be unfair to subject her to that likely uneasy, nervous scenario.

But, just in case , does she actually have to HANDLE or MANIPULATE or HAVE ANY WORKING KNOWLEDGE of the handgun? There's no FSC card, or test....just an ID? She would just purchase and fill out ownership paperwork and FFL shipping info? Without any issues or raised eyebrows "as a gift"?

As you can see, I'm a Californian....bred, born, and brainwashed

No need for a buyer to even touch the gun No FSC, no safe gun handling demonstration, no safe affidavit, no 10-day wait, no 1-in-30 rules. Just a NV ID, fill out the same ATF 4473 you do in CA, get background check (a call to NV-DOJ) and pay $25. Heck, she can buy 10 guns on the same day and only pay for one background check (if she does, tell her to adopt me )

I would suggest she takes the gun home then ship it to your CA FFL*. Most NV shops are not familiar with CA laws and are very paranoid shipping anything into CA. CA FFLs can accept shipments from a non-FFL holder out of state, but some may choose not to. Be sure to ask your FFL if they are comfortable with intrafamilial transfers, if they accept shipments from a non-FFL holder, and what needs to be included in the shipment. When I was in CA, mine used to ask for a copy of the sender's ID and a Bill Of Sale (as most were purchases, not gifts)

Remember she must use FedEx or UPS 2 day service for shipping handguns. Only FFL holders can ship handguns via US Postal.

*Footnote: leave out those baby-seal killing, xenophobic, white-privileged large capacity magazines. There is no room for them in the Great State of Cali.

Chin up. Those five years will go fast. Think how fast time has passed since Sandy Hook and the following 2012-2013 ammo shortage. End of SSE in 2014? Those were 4-5 years ago. Start planning your move, it takes a lot of planning.

We moved to Nebraska a little over a year ago. As soon as I got a driver's license I went down to the sheriff's office and paid $5 to get my handgun purchase certificate. Got it in the mail three days later. Bought a S&W Model 19 (very unsafe according to CA) on Gunbroker and had it shipped to a local FFL. I filled out the 4473 and he handed me the gun. I told him I had just moved from CA and they did things a lot different there. He said "Welcome to Freedom."
