Another shout out to the instructors. Had a blast and learned a ton! FYI sent all my 45 acp reload rounds through my Colt 1911 this morning and it cycled flawless with no signs of excessive pressure.

Highly recommend this class to anyone on the fence about starting to reload. You can research and read all you want, but nothing beats hands-on experience with highly knowledgeable instructors.

Definitely thinking about doing the class again when I am tooled up for 5.56 and 308.

Thanks guys!!

I so wish I would have known about this, I was kicked out of the house because of a baby shower my wife was hostessing. Sounds like it would have been a blast (figuratively).

If they ban ammo build parties, the next one would be never.

I took home 49 rounds instead of 50, but I learned something.

Stilly, if I had read your post #33 before I arrived, I would have understood you better.
Well, 49 aint too bad, 50 would have been better. Damn I am sorry I had no .45 brass that was cleaned. I had all others except that.

Heh, now you can go back and tell Carla all was good.

Default One small problem with my reloads !

Scared the S*&^ out of the whole range room -
first shot 20' out hit Dead Center (erased the #10!)
Great class, Thanks to Mark501w, BigBronco, Stilly, Bumslee, and the rest of the crew. if anyone is interested in Reloading, and your fortunate to get in a class with these guys - YOU WILL BECOME Reloader - PERIOD-

im hooked,
loaded my first 50 rounds of ammo in the class, 44mag, and made 4 different powder loads as recommended by Mark501w. 18,18.5.19 and 19.5 of 2400 -
ALL rounds went perfect. (this is rare on my deagle) reloads usually Fail to Eject. - NOT THESE !

THANK YOU GUYS !

Damn... I missed this!

Is there an email or pm list? If so, please put me on the list!

I've got 3-4K of 9mm brass, primers, and projectiles! Soon powder will be in the mix! I'm picking up a 550B in April and I want to learn now!

Will do. I will send pms, then snail mail, then a homing pigeon, and then finally if your house is in range, I will tape a note to a target arrow and see if I can land one in your front yard... It will have a small pink fuzzy boa attached...

And I expect the next one to be in maybe march or april, but it all depends on the schedules...

I would like to sign up for the next class. I have some reloading equipment, but I don't know how to use it. Could reload 8mm Mauser or several other calibers.

Could not make the Feb 16th class, but I want to learn.

I have lots of small pistol primers, and a few other odds and ends.

Thumbs up Inland Empire reloading class

I'm new to reloading, just picked up the Hornady lock and load AP. And want to learn how to properly reload 9mm, 40sw and 5.56. Can someone post when the next class is?

FIRST.

Please purchase a Lee or RCBS Single Stage press.

Progressives are fine, but you will be happy that when you finally fire your AP up that you will be able to identify and use it properly after loading on a single stage for a few hundred rounds.

MUST you buy a single stage or Turret first? No. But you are really taking a chance by not starting on a single or turret.

NO PROGRESSIVES FOR BEGINNERS. Yes there ARE exceptions to the rules and YES, we ALL think we are NEO and super geniuses when it comes to learning these machines, but the truth is only 1 in about 15 people are geniuses and can start on a progressive. I am sure glad that I did not start on one... AND for the record, I am smart enough to start on a progressive...

Thanks Stilly,
You are a wise man. I'm working on two stages at a time. Looking forward to the next class in the IE.
