5.7x28mm, will it really penetrate body armor?

We put it to the test against AR500 Armor® Level III Body Armor. Fired from an FN Five-Seven pistol and long barrel PS90. We utilize multiple 5.7x28mm rounds including law-enforcement and military green tips.

Come on guys, if you're going to do it, use the SS190 Black Tip military rounds or some of the EA LEO stuff... Not the neutered SS197 or slighty hotter ss198. The ss190 is what was "ruled as AP by the ATF" for penetrating Level II kevlar vest. I'm guessing the AR500 would probably stop it, but I'd love to see it.

That was just the beginning of our 5.7x28 testing . More to come with soft IIIA & hard level III armor.

After an extended firefight, can you re-coat or repair the plates that have taken fire and if so, how much will it cost?

Also, are there any videos of your plates being tested from fire coming it at 45 degree angles? I am interested in how the coating holds up to this.

3a ar500 won't stop .223 unless pushed out pretty far.

It won't work. I have a video I will post later. It kind of works against pistol rounds but not very consistent.
